i bought a hp pavilion x360 convertible 14-dy0052TUe
the battery life is shockingly low, just doing programming and surfing web, no gaming , no open video, every 10 minutes the battery drop 1%
once it goes below 20% it drops even faster, every couple minutes drop 1%
is that normal? its still under warranty, if its not normal i still can go and change it.
Claim warranty, if it's still less than 12 months. In my view, you should get at least approx. 3 hrs.
The support person may ask you to calibrate the battery few times. In my view, this is pretty bad for the battery as it goes into full charge and discharge cycles, thereby later further damage the battery even more. A good battery doesn't (rarely) need to do calibration. None my of other non-HP laptops had ever need to do that.
You may get a quote from the HP support and their prices are practically "rip-off". The battery plus labour may cost a LOT!
p.s. The only reason I get HP is coz they are affordable (cheap).
