First of all, I'm kinda new to DSLR and just learn it two weeks ago. So, I'm thinking of setting up a thread for all the beginners all there so that they can also post their pictures as well. All critics and comments are most welcomed in order to make us beginners improve. We never know where is our mistake and which part to improve if we snap and learn by ourselves. I'm sure that there are many experienced photographers in LYN forum. Well, all of you must not be shy or feel ashame to post up your topics as this would only degrade yourself. Btw, please state your equipment so that it would be easier for us to address the problem and to tweak the settings next time. What you guys think about this thread? I will be posting my pictures later tonight. Remember, all critics and comments are welcomed, I don't even bother if you all laugh at my pictures. biggrin.gif
Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Thank you travis_ckf for willing to give comment on my pictures. smile.gif Yea, I'm trying to improve on getting the sharp focus. I've made a mistake that I didn't use autofocus but used manual focus instead in picture 1 and 8. Will post up more later. icon_rolleyes.gif

did you know that you're not supposed to snap photos in Pavillion? Well, that's what I was told by the people at Information Kiosk. smile.gif Seriously, better ask the staff before going around snapping pics.

Really? I know nothing about this. Strangely, all the guards there didn't stop me at all, several of them even smiled at me when I was taking photos.

yeah. well, some of them don't know also la. wink.gif for example some places don't allow people to snap snap, like The Curve.

IMO as photographers, we should learn to respect others as well. We love to snap photos but it's better to get permission before snapping.

Overall all the pics looked underexposed and lack of sharpness. I only giving u credit for the 3rd pic on the black chopper for well composed pic. The rest just looked normal or dont work on me. wink.gif

Ok, I get it. Thanks travis. Should I use the flash in indoor shots like these or just play with the shutter speed and aperture? Well, some I used flash but some I did not. hmm.gif Headache lah....

tkp13, yr AIME photos look ok for me, you have yr own angle and composition. jz try not to crop the motor tyres and yr photo is a bit underexpose. i can see yr efforts for the shooting for aime, at least u willing to bend yr body down to shoot. smile.gif but not jz stand there and shoot and brnig out the result that same with one normal point and shoot camera.

If the photos is underexpo, u can try to edit it by photoshop by adjusting the level smile.gif. and yr wb also lari already, u see the photo 8 .. dont u feel they look very yellowish ? smile.gif ..

and yr new batch of photos, picture1 - picutre 3.. basically it is meaningless for me(sorry if i hurt u) i just try to comment u from what i feel from my heart. actually if u really want to shoot, u can try to find some things more meaningful to shoot smile.gif

Sorry if my words might hurt yr feelings. but this is true from my heart smile.gif

i did have some noob shoots for the AIME, feel free to browse my thread.

Thanks for your heartiest comments, bbtat! Yap, that day I forgot to tweak the ISO and I but tried to get a suitable wb but to no avail,so I just leave it as it is. So, they really looked a bit yellowish. sad.gif

Can I choose not use photoshop? I don't really like PP because we should use leave our photos as we've taken them. But, someone did say that PP contribute 50% to a great photo. So, hmm.gif don't know la...just my humble opinion. sweat.gif

Basically, I just wanted to get the settings correct in the new batch of pictures. So.....they are quite meaningless.... cry.gif I just get my dslr for no longer than 1 month, so now still trying to get used to the settings. blush.gif

No problem on hurting my feelings because I really appreciate these comments so that I can take something and improve! Thanks again.
