I also kena before. Caller say got Maxis promo free 2 months pre-paid, I told him I'm using Digi. He said Digi also can, then I told him I'm actually using Celcom. He hung up

I kena too...Last last they will reveal what the scammer wanna purchase like cs.my@unipin.com and the sms notification (not from digi but 20000). That scammer call me la whatsapp me la, but I didn't bother to reveal that last code to him. LOL

my assumption:

scammer want to login to ur telco acc.
signup new number to get free phone.
jual / bawak lari phone, dont want to pay bill.
u as the owner - will need to settle the bill, or pay the penalty.

Malaysian Telco SMS gateways only 5 digit numbers, not 6 .. better ignore it ..

I just received whatsapp call at freaking 11pm, got Digi logo. Also sound like Indon speaking Malay and he say from call Centre and free Digi bill for Sep. Ask me to read the tac. I already suspicious I ask him why call so late. He kept asking if I receive sms. I said no don't have and hung up. Somemore the number calling from 011, sohai. Then I search saw this thread.

nowadays got many patent one,.. last month i just receive this,.. 2 different number sms me,.. on the same time on different day,.. few times,.. i malas mau layan,..

It seems like they're purchasing reload. The SMS has this "SHAREit" keyword.
