I was invited into a whatsapp group with admins saying they are from Binance.

And as Binance celebrates their 6th Anniversary, group members were encouraged to invest in Binance DeFi Mining via Trust Wallet application.

Is there really such a plan or is it just a scam ?

Not long but its my first time experiencing such a tactic. so just wondering how the scam works.

We were told to deposit USDT to Trust Wallet application and activate a miner pool via a provided URL. It will generate profit and we are free to withdraw it anytime as the assets are in the Trust Wallet app.

Trust Wallet App looks safe and it has collaboration with Binance. So was wondering, how does the scam work ?

Binance admins will not contact you personally to encourage you to invest.

Bank safe or not ? Can ppl use bank account to scam other ppl or not ? Then u have yr answer . Press link that u unfamiliar with can wipe yr wallet clean no joke .

Binance pools, staking, earning are all done through the Binance app itself. Any random address in 3rd party app is a scam.

I got contacted too. The people in the group who always message seems dubious.
I only went to the extent of getting $5 reward but didn't put money in the trust wallet. The dapps link given seems clean though & when pasted in the browser, it goes back to binance web site.
The whatsapp group is now quiet so not sure what happened.
