Hi all,

Wanna ask about the requirements of the Fiber termination box (FTB) for landed house broadband installation.

Originally, the house comes with this FTB at the rear wall of the house (picture below).

But as I'm extending for the wet kitchen and will put on the wall tiles, the contractor has removed the box and left the cable like this ready for wall tile installation.

Therefore would like to know, after installing the wall tiles, do I need to put back the FTB? Or the installer from Unifi/Maxis will install their own FTB?

Thanks

restore as previous, unless you plan to pull anew when the existing one becomes damaged from neglect or cemented over.

Advice you put back the FTB. TM installer usually straight away pull fibre to modem for new installation. At least you have FTB, can ask them to terminate the fibre there.

OK noted with thanks. ya the fiber cable from this FTB to the internal of the house has already been laid by the developer, so I think this will make it easier for the installer as they just need to terminate it at this FTB.
