ES32 vs XM2+ anyone can share their experience? is xm2+ better than es32 in terms of comfort, wet grip, handling?

Used XM2+ on City GM6, replacing Goodyear GT3

(+) XM2+ more silent, long life tyre thread till exceed 40,000km before replace

(+) Good wet surface braking

(-) not for spirited driving (hard cornering) XM2+

No comment for ES32, was planned to try but now using Proxes R57

XM2+ for all-rounder tires despite the price is a bit steep

no budget go ES32

got budget go XM2+

simple as that

ES32 is on par with XM2+ performance wise, but the thread life is much lesser

Users of Yokohama ES32 and XM2+ on my previous VW Polo Sedan, 185/60/R15
Yokohama ES32 (Year 2017, if not mistaken Made in Philippines)
+ confidence in wet driving
+ stable on high speed
- shorter thread life and uneven chipping (could be my car suspension problem)

Michelin XM2+ (November 2019)
+ very silent when new, I can even hear absorber working psst psst compression noise when driving from Putrajaya link road at 80-100km/h
+ longer rolling distance (for fuel saving?)
+ longer thread life and durable (thread still looks like new when I sold the car this year)
- wet driving not inspiring good confidence as ES32
- feel like floating when drive fast around 150km/h

There is a tread discussing only about ES32 tire, you can go there and check it out. Personally use 2 sets of ES32 tire for my Kelisa until today, no regrets.

I believe most of the aspects ES32 manage to exceed or meet XM2+ level except for the treadwear.

For some sizes for eg 195 55 15, you can sometimes find Made in Japan ones. But they're mostly made in the Philippines

I've used both and the Japan ones (195/55/15) seems quieter than Phil ones (185/60/14), but both wears out equally fast

ES32 seems to give more confidence when cornering than my XM2+. Noise wise is comparable. If you don't mind changing more often (or drive less), get the ES32
