I think your likes/dislikes are the same with most people laugh.gif

4. Routine implementation. Ie apply the same solution or technique to the rest of the code.

Work long enough, and this becomes the same even with new tech.

At that time you will be frustrated instead of why they cannot do/understand something so simple laugh.gif

they dont look at code la

project manager dont know coding one, my solution architect knows but he doesnt see them, he installed linter for us and it automatically check our code

my senior dev will look at code but it will be during the initial merge to dev environment he will go through it and ask me 100 questions about what this line does and that.

once its in acc environment only the VVIP will ask us to demo what our new code does, then start asking questions

what if xxx ..

what if yyy...

does this new feature accounts for the fact that if a dependency fail... bla bla

things like that

after finish present, there will be a long awkward silence... then they say ok and approve merge to prod

Linters don't help you write good code, only helps create consistent code.

Tell them all the "what if" should be detailed in a ticket. Then can avoid all this BS.

If VVIP is asking stupid questions, your SA/PM should have already considered his style and pre-empted 90% of what he will usually ask.

Normally once the process is set right, and every knows everyone's expectations and can fulfill them. All these questions won't happen already. If have to keep asking, means got lack of trust
