Pick up guitar lesson last few months.

First purchase was a RM 150 acoustic guitar which had been laying around since I found Yamaha classical guitar G231 II lurking in the house.

1. Was wondering if C40 II is an upgrade compare to G231 II?

2. Also any recommendation on vintage acoustic guitar with solid spruce around or less than F310 price?

Currently looking at CG182S and FS830 but either guitar will take a huge dent in my saving.
Most probably will downgrade to C40 II or preferably F310.

1. At that price point, no.
2. You cannot get solid top for the price of F310. If you stretch your budget a bit, sometimes you can find used FG700 or FG800 on Carousell for around RM700.

Are you learning acoustic or classical guitar?

No requirement from my music teacher to play which guitar as long it's not the RM150 guitar. So far still learning children song so I suppose it's acoustic but decent guitar I owned is old classical guitar.

Now leaning towards acoustic guitar either getting F310 with/without pickup or FG/FS830.

As per your point, will ditch the idea of getting C40.
