ceramic hob when you need to boil soup for long time, use induction when you need to stir fry or need high heat immediately

think of it this way, induction is like gas stove, ceramic hob is like slow cooker

but of course you can use ceramic hob for normal cooking, but it will just take longer time to heat up and change of heat level is slower than induction

you can use induction for long hour cooking also, just make sure there is adequate cooling / airflow for it

Edited: instead of saying ceramic hob is like a slow cooker, maybe charcoal stove is more appropriate
