I'm no fan of winnie the pooh and the ccp, but I'll call total bullshit on China being responsible. The enmity between the hill and valley peoples has been on-going for ages and has boiled over frequently. Attacks by insurgent groups, barricading of the "chicken neck" (a narrow strip of land which connects the area to the rest of India), burning of buildings, inter-tribal killings etc had been rife even before these latest incidents.

They would do well to look to their own politicians and wannabe-politicians as instigators and funders of such unrest. Any other kind of finger-pointing are red herrings and attempts to obfuscate their own dirty deeds. Some people who sought refuge out-of-state are now attempting to return to their homes in Imphal. I wish them well.
