I am currently having my setup 1HU, 2AMPS, 2(12"DVC), 2(2way,6"rear spk), 2(2way,4"front spk) and 2 tweeters... and all this with my NS60 batteries...

after installing my HID... notice sumthin... my front spk sumtimes no sound from my amps... but when i increase volume, it comes back... also when i switch on HID the front looses its sound...

I am suspecting my load on my battery... i think it is at its peak... my volt is showing 11/12 when it is suppose to be 13/14...

I am thinking of providing separate power for my ICE... so,

- do i need to change my alternator... and add 2 batteries...
- or just get the cylindrical battery usually for the ICE setup.. i dunno how this thing works...

how is the most practical and cost effective way to manage this... pls advise..

thanks

alternator... change them.... anyway... any dimming lights whan the bass hits hard?

to me... adding a extra battery doesnt do much... but changing to a bigger ampere alternator does a lot...

cheers...

alternator.. how to add dude... cannot la bro...

no dimming... hid cannot see 1... coz it goes through relay and balast... either off or on... internally also no dim...

what about the additional cylindrical battery... what is this actually for... anyone can tell me the wiring for this item..

thanks

well... i know how a HID works... but then HID is very power hungry... it uses high voltage... so i would suggest changing the alternator... the bigger the better... 150A perhaps? anyway... what is your current alternator rating?

mine to explain what is a cylindrical battery? i dunno what is it...

actually... if you have power problem... adding another battery wont solve it... it only worsen it... best is to upgrade the charger which is the alternator in this case... or you dun wan then the HID or the sound system has to go... try to lighten the load of the alternator...

cheers...

or do it both like i did .. add another battery at the back , upgraded alternator ( bigger ampere output) and a split charge relay ..

all the ice are using the rear battery. so at offline(engine not start) it just will take it from the back. when u start ur car, it will uses both and the alternator will charge both .

I think he meant the power capacitor when he say the cylindrical battery?
Check your wiring, a normal setup without blasting music til you half deaf won't be using more than 20A of continuous current, less if you use Class D amp.

power cap wont do any good i think as it takes up more power than actually helping in a way...

anyway... there was a sq pajero with three 200A alternator from stinger in my hometown... powering 3 really high powered amps... think about 400w x 2 rms 4ohm... running active... haha.... got money... nothing is impossible...

cheers...
