Hello, I plan to commission a digital artist of a digital portrait drawing, and I want to hang and display that drawing on the wall in my room.
Anyone who's got experience can let me know what kind of canvas / art size should I be going for, is there a standard size ? As the artist ask me what art size for the drawing do I want, and I'm not sure, would appreciate any advice.

As an interior designer, I would say it depend on your wall size, the bigger the wall the bigger the drawing. If you plan to only hang a single portrait on the wall, it should be minimum A2 size to look proportionally right. If you plan to hang a group of paintings, then can have smaller size.

Getting Started

|
If your artist is only supplying the file instead of the actual printed artwork, you should look around for a printing shop and ask them what sizes and various options they can print for you and what they recommend for your case.
P.S. Depending on the artist, they may charge more for higher resolution artwork, especially since printing on a large canvas will require very large resolutions. Better check with them about this point first.
