I have this scenario.
I have an existing car A and I want to buy a new car.
I want to transfer my Car A plate into the new car and after that transfer Car A ownership to my wife.
The question is can I do both process in one go (means only do one inspection if needed for both process)?
And how do I do that?

Bored so here I go, can ask JPJ for full detail.

Assuming both car under your name, new car not yet registered with plate yet.

1. First do puspakom for old car, cost rm35-40. Remove tinted window front windshield, front windows both side.

2. Go to jpj, fill the form and do plate transfer to new car. Cost max rm300 for plate transfer and registration.

3. Still at jpj, transfer old car ownership to wife, don’t forget puspakom form b5. You and Wife must go for thumbprint, separately also ok.

4. After done jpj, diy or go insurance seller, buy new insurance and roadtax. Siap. Diy can save 10% insurance fee for each car, up to u.

Suggest go jpj utc, jpj office normally full with runner so you will wait long long long long long time there.

Sauce: done my plate transfer with 1car 1motor and ownership transfer with 2cars.

can this be done if my new unreg car is in different state while i do all these process in my current state?
if yes what doc do i need from the new unreg car?

in step 2, i will immediately get a new random running number for my old car right? or is another separate process?
and once i got a new plate number for my old car, i can immediately transfer it to my wife on the same day in step 3?

or like what the rest above you said, transferring plate and transferring car ownership have to be 2 separate process and 2 separate puspakom inspection?

ya.

b2 is flexible the owners name or reg number on the b2 if different from the reg card is ok, as long as not expired can be used. b5 cannot. the name on the reg card and reg number must be same only can use

after transferring my old plate and my old car getting a new plate, do i still have to pay for road tax + insurance before i can do another puspakom and transfer ownership? or can just use the existing road tax and insurance that attached to my old car before changing plate?
