what makes it a van? just because its big, tall, has 2 sliding doors and can fit 7/8 people? please enlighten me

it is using monocoque chassis with multi-link suspension at the back, which is much more sophisticated than most econoboxes out there

something like a previous gen starex, that is a van. rides like one, nvh is like one and it looks like one.

exactly, it is so spacious and the ride quality really not bad if the driver knows what the fuck he is doing.

people complain it rides like sampan because the driver doesnt know how to drive, the right way is to take it slow and be gentle with any throttle/steering input

the previous gen (agh30) 2.5 is really not that thirsty, i can do 8-12km/l easily depending on traffic condition. if you are talking about the 3.5 v6, that one is a different monster as you can wheelspin it all the way from 1st to 3rd gear under heavy throttle from standstill.

also it was never meant for tight city driving to begin with, all 7/8 seater mpvs that can still fit cargo with passengers are going to be big lol

kasi chan la, some people always hate things that they cant afford or never tried

just funny how they think alphard/vellfire owners care if the car is pretty or ugly lol

its always the interior that counts, and this new gen has a much improved chassis and drivetrain

going to sell like crazy the moment it hits 1 year old and recon dealers start bringing them into malaysia

The Vellfire and Alphard has always been Toyota's best selling luxury MPV. Other brands and models don't even come close in sales numbers.
