mono sodium glutamate. --- btw this is naturally occurring. And the only problem is Humans found ways to concentrate it and package it so you can over dose.

Just one of many amino acid derived, flavoring. Some say it is "salty" some say it is sweet. some call it Umami.

anyhow, any soup that you taste that is wow so good. pls stop as soon as possible. Dont over consume and you be fine.

The steam boat soup... ever wonder why it taste so freaking good at the end.

Tomato, corn, vegetables, mushrooms, chicken, pork, meat, plus other processed meat balls,,,, are laden with Amino acids that give you the boost in flavor.... umami.

MSG occurs naturally in food like tomato, mushroom, konbu, nori, miso, soya sauce and various seafood.

You want to avoid MSG?

if u know the history of msg, it is just using commercial way to get it. boiled sup tulang for hours to get the msg is too not commercial.

at first top japanese restaurant boycott msg bcuz they think it is unethical, u want msg? then u should boil sup tulang. ajinomoto is curi tulang.

but later on widely accepted worldwide. they even make msg from plant so become halal, vegan friendly.

also, the chinese restaurant syndrome just a made up story by some researchers to test how fake news can affect the public.

It's actually a myth to stop Americans from eating at Chinese restaurants. The damn thing is naturally occuring in food. You need to stop eating food to not consume MSG

There is no proof MSG is bad.

The only thing I ever heard is it's no difference from eating lots of salt if you put a lot of MSG.

Common MSG side effect is thirsty, but this is the same with salt.

bolded part is partially incorrect cause processed MSG contains at least 30% salt. so the thirsty after effect is caused by high consumption of sodium than MSG

people always mistaken these part

bullshittos lel.

They simply derives their msg from another source.

Like the chinese of theyre not using the monosodium whatever mat, the likelyhood they're using the roasted worm powder to settle the umami taste instead. same striking powah

all food have MSG, is natural from the food.

the question is they add extra or not?

MSG also a natural food.

in ramen, highly process should be the ramen noodle.

The sodium and purine in the soup will kill your kidneys and liver faster than MSG.

No. Free glutamate as in MSG is more excitotoxic (causing nerve auto death) more than natural glutamate which is bound to protein in food.

Free glutamate is also abundant and hidden in food such as sauce, mayonaise, cereals, baby food etc2. Glutamate is toxic to the nerve when taken in large amount.. In sensitive individuals, small amount also could trigger migrains, anxiety, gut issue and kacau the microbiome.

Big food is using doctors and nutritionist brainwashing our people that sodium chloride is much more dangerous than free msg. Can google this. Our nutrition is fckd up because of ILSI lobbyist infiltrating our healthcare system particularly nutrition society.
