Nugget is definitely not tempura. I categorize tempura as the coating system. You can have a tempura coated nugget, tempura coated brinjal but nugget itself is just a small piece of something (meat, gold?).

both are deep fried, high cholesterol, unhealthy garbage.

Tempura nugget don't fried well with air fryer
The tempura coating needs oil fry.

The normal nugget you always find in pasar malam 1 stick got 3 pieces love shapem sometimes other shape.
The tempura one is like MCD one I guess.

only breaded type can come out crunchy with air fryer, tempura type not nice if use air fryer.

Correct. But breaded goes limp faster than breaded one if left out too long after frying.

I think it's due to air-fried no extra oil to keep the moisture in air away from the crunchy food. Oil fried food, the oil will keep the moisture away hence the longer lasting crunchiness.

mcd nugget = tempura

why don't u make your own nuggets with air fryer? So freaking easy and convenient. I do it nuggets + fries + wedges in one go. Straight from freezer to crispy before Grab food can deliver order to you.

but food-wise, specifically refers to nuggets that are enveloped with those *kruk* *kruk* sandy breadcrumbs.

tempura - the cooking and flour batter like how McD enveloped its nugget.

tempura nugget - nugget enveloped by tempura instead of (default) breadcrumbs.

I dun have place to store frozen food, if I buy the big pack need to finish all at one cook off.
