Then you enter the wrong company bro. I am no management , just spm kuli but from what i seems like you job is actually project engineer/manager. Seem like your company is just main con and job is to delegate and manage the on hand project rather than on hand implement the project. That's why your company sub all the engineering/techical part to their subcon.

Well this true. Main con side salary especially those involve in project management is always higher than subcon with engineering but its gonna stress the hell out of you. Not sure why but i notice management and sales is always highly valued heck even me as supervisor when with main con last time my salary is almost twice when with subcon but the stress is unbearable. Long working hour and paper is killing all the motivation

The only advantage with engineering is easy to jump ship while with management if someone is better than then be prepare to be sideline

All above is just my experience opinion. No right or wrong
