These are my computer spec :
Intel C2D E6600 2.4Ghz @ 3.0Ghz
1GB Corsair XMS2 6400 800Mhz @ 667Mhz 4-4-4-12 @ 1.92V
Winfast 256MB 7900GS Extreme @ (595/1600)
Intel 975XBX2 Motherboard
320GB+250GB WD Hard Disks

Sometimes when I turn on my computer it cant pass POST and ask me to change the settings in the bios... When i check the RAM settings are back to default 800Mhz 5-5-5-18 @ 1.84V ... How can that be?... But after i set all settings back to default(Automatic) that is 2.4Ghz and 800Mhz 5-5-5-18 @ 1.84V.. Boot it once and restart and change the settings in bios to the settings above and it passed POST...

there is a jumper, yellow in colour i believe
refer to the manual. i cant remember how i did it, bu tits like when u adjust that jumper to pins 2 and 3, u enter safe mode
from there reset everything and shut down
then later set it back to pins 1 and 2

later, increase the voltage of the rams.

what bios are u on?

I'm using the latest bios BX97520J.86A.2797.2007.1008.1941... Hmm.. Why must reset everything?... Any particular reasons? And I already disabled speedstep in bios but when in vista its still lower the clock when idle?

What do u mean by resetting everything... All it can do is bringing up the maintenance menu to reset the passwords... And I still have the POST problem ... sweat.gif
