Although our journey is coming to an end, our commitment to our customers remains unchanged. We will ensure that you receive the best customer service until the very end,” it said in a notice at the Bangsar Village 2 Borders outlet.

The Bangsar Village 2 outlet will close after July 31.

Meanwhile, checks on the Borders Malaysia website found that its online store had been closed since May 31.

Borders Group Inc filed for bankruptcy in February 2011 and later liquidated all its stores. All its outlets in the US had shuttered operations by September that year.

When borders was in MY in Times Square 2nd & 3rd floor that time. I really happy. I spent many hours every week there looking at many types of books. 2 large floors some more. Until they minimized to single lot at lowest floor and closed altogether.

Our toys r us still open... American sudah lama tutup..

But I miss toy city...

Basically u can't get that unique toy store vibe and smell and environment from anything else!

My kids life is gonna suck compared to my childhood... that new toy store... What ever the fuck it's called... Howards? Harold's? Just don't have the same feeling and smell

2) Malaysians don't read.

3) People into religion book. Each religion has one book, and that's enough for them.

4) Books has become expensive. Buying book has become a T20 thing only now.

Books expensive?

I don't want to reveal, but there is a lot of other ways I can get them second hand for free.

and then there are many pesta buku out there organized by Popular, MPH, Bookaccess to sell them cheaper.

Plus Bookexcess, though not so cheap but much cheaper compared to Tsutsaya.

Maybe the kind of book you prefer to read is still cheap.

The kind of book that I have been interested in are expensive.

Last time I can get what I want to read for RM40-60.

Now what I want to read can be RM80-RM100.

Again, we all have difference preference when it comes to reading, just like music.

I'm glad you found a free source for you to get the kind of books you like. smile.gif

children books - hardcover can be quite expensive

they are made hardcover, because kids tend to be rough, step on the books, they lasts long.

at Tsutsaya, some of the books can range from 40-100 per book.

no need to buy them new, just wait for second hand, I know where to get them for free.
