I'm told by my developer that I bought a house from, that VP is in a month's time. I am looking to engage an ID for renovation. However, I'm not sure how the discussion should go when asking for quotation to compare prices. Some that I've asked seemed to want me to lock/book with them because they would ge occupied if I'm late. But I do want to get a quote before I do that. Is this common? Is there no room to compare quotation before committing for a company before VP is given?
You need to have your own budget and floor plan.. tell your ID as example you have 150k. You want to do how many area.. e.g. foyer, living, kitchen, master bed and etc.. then will quote based on your 2D floor plan.. But if you have 50k only then forget about ID.. cause my experience, 50k is only able to cover kitchen with partition..
Mostly quotation is free and based on 2d and come out with a approximate dimensions based on your requirements. Some could even get quotation within 2 days.
