QUOTE(acap_p @ Jun 14 2023, 09:56 AM)
I'm told by my developer that I bought a house from, that VP is in a month's time. I am looking to engage an ID for renovation. However, I'm not sure how the discussion should go when asking for quotation to compare prices. Some that I've asked seemed to want me to lock/book with them because they would ge occupied if I'm late. But I do want to get a quote before I do that. Is this common? Is there no room to compare quotation before committing for a company before VP is given?

hai there...

Just take one step at a time... Your VP is in a month time.... then you need to do your defect checking somemore.... submit defect and wait for the developer to liase with their main contractor to complete the defect.. that's another 30days minimum for them to comply...
i would not recommend you to quickly do your ID works ...resolve all the defects first
because certain developer may and will find a way to forfeit your future defect submission due to the renovation works done by other trade/party.

so.. go jalan2 and survey2 first.. no need to commit early......

cheers mate
