Oh YES! Sadly no EXCITING features revealed other than single-player game Unlike Brawl which keeps getting better everyday.

Err, second player can also help the first player by using the wiimote. Such as halting the movement of enemies, shotting stars at enemies or collecting stars for first player.

Mainly because they dont need to announce any exciting feature?

Lets face it, even if they dont announce stuff for Smash Brawl and Mario Galaxy, when it is released, the horde of Wii owners buying it will still be the same.

Well, it's not simultaneous run-around kinda gameplay.. (tho I wouldn't want that either, 2nd-player dying on the first level(to 0 lives) is frustrating enough).

What I meant was, little stuff like what Metroid Prime did with their achievements tokens. Sticker book for Brawl?

Still, looking forward to the new eye-candied world.You know what? I think I'll be second player to stop my GF from jumping to her death

Added on October 19, 2007, 11:30 amIn addition to achievement talk, I read an article saying that games that had a nice number of achievements(360) in them scored higher grades for their games. It just gives incentives for playing the game..

Honestly, I like them very much and wouldn't mind seeing more of this.

Achievements was probably the best thing Microsoft came out with. It brought out the competitiveness and got people buying games jst to chase gamerscore.

New games on the way

from the screenshots, the graphics looks very nice and detailed. Same goes with Metroid and other Nintendo-produced games.

The third party developers however are pretty lazy.

Can't believe this is out next week.

That's why! I have this on pre-order with GH, tho' I won't be getting it when it's out due to cash being driven to GHWii

Me too, currently low in resources too (Hopefully i can get enough cash 2pay all my pre-order games)

If anyone is planning to get this for their modded wii, beware that it may not work. super mario galaxy has some enhanced security that makes some modchips obsolete.

it's the first time i have put in an order with them, wonder what is the average waiting time before the game arrives.

You guys should at lease try this game. Been playing it since last week.
I've left my Wii in storage for 2 months, once I got this game, I havn't stop playing almost everyday. It's nice. A good followup for those that played Mario Sunshine in Gamecube era. This is the game that can represent Wii.

Mario is back and better than ever before !

Before i knew it ... i was already 5 hrs in on my very first play session. i've got 25 stars at the moment but can't seem to stop the urge to play !!

The variety of environments and constant innovative gameplay elements in each "stage" is really amazing.

This IS the game for Wii. Period.

Now, time to go back into the game *hhuhhhuuuu*

Same! Clocked in 5 1/2 hours and got about 21 Stars.

Taking it slow as ever. That Monkey-Ball level is a blast.. It's so friggin' funny, my gal couldn't stop laughing when she reached top-speed and they played the carnival-like song faster and faster

Definitely gonna buy the soundtrack if they release one.

Co-op play is a nice touch.

the 2nd player would be able to collect star bits, use the star bits to shoot enemies and also stop moving objects temporarily. you can also perform a super high jump if both player time their button press correctly.

P/S: my Wife-o-Meter has gone up

Co-Star mode, like yangkuo explained is just simple brilliance. There's subtle difference when you play alone, and with Co-Star.

The game doesn't change much when 2nd player is around. It just changes loads of gameplay mechanics like when bullet bills come chasing you, your friend can stop it in it's track to prevent you from being killed

You can't stop all object/enemies, but some can be swiped away by the Co-Star player Like flicking away an incoming fireball

Also, yangkuo left out one more part, when Mario jumps, Co-Star can extend his jump higher by doing his spin punch.

I just read the gamespy review(for fun..), and they said it had the worse storyline(compared to the best in the GCN prequel), and the battle/strategic element in the game was too hardcore. 6/10 I think.

hehe, i heard it is an easier fire emblem game since u can now save during battles. no more worries for ur fallen comrades since u can utilize the save load method.

Despite me NOT wanting to play (and risk getting addicted) i completed two levels, methinks the controls get some getting use to, but this game is the FIRST real 3D platformer Not only 3D graphics, but true 3D gameplay! RM170 well spent!

Oh, no wander u guys not in GH3 but instead playing SMG

Got it from gamer's hideout on Saturday. Tried to rack up as many stars as i could before going back to Cyberjaya today, but only managed 80 =(

Got the game on Friday, due to busy weekend only manage to get 6 stars.

You dudes are fast. I'm at 57 stars now. Only 3 more to win, but like every hardcore Mario enthusiasts, 120 ftw~!

I restlessly gathered star after star in hopes of unlocking more story book chapters. I don't even know what actually unlocks the chapters, but like with most new games i consider it to be part of the experience.

Now i'm sure at least one of you will ruin this by telling me the prerequisites to unlocking the chapters or worse, spoil the story!

I really enjoy star collecting in this one. The 64 some of the stars were really well hidden, and underwater levels made them torturous to even attempt. With Sunshine, the blue coins were such b****es, and underwater levels were still the suck. Galaxy's underwater controls are so awesome i almost enjoy it even more than on-land platforming. (the shell brake lights are a really nice touch!)

Ah well, next weekend til my next play session.
