Hey guys, looking to buy bikes but not superbike standard...
Probably a 250cc for a start? Like Honda CBR250...
But that model quite old already right? Any other new and nice models?

QUOTE(kurtkob78 @ Apr 26 2008, 10:56 AM) that is not consider superbike. it's sport bike. i'm also looking for sport bike ranging from 150-250. only can find cbr150rr and yamaha fz150i Sorry. A bit noob in bikes... Always wanted a bike after watching House drive a cbr1000rr. I've been looking at prices. About 10k for cbr150rr and fz150i about 8k? Is it ok for a noob to start of on a 150cc? or a 250cc? What's 250 cc prices like? And the only honda cbr250 is from like, years ago... QUOTE(ykean @ Apr 26 2008, 11:05 AM) Looks good. |

I know this is the wrong place to ask but I am now considering getting a 150/250cc bike. I need to know how much will maintenance cost me annually. If you could provide me figures for petrol consumption, that will be great.
The bike I'm looking at currently is Kawasaki Kips 150. |

QUOTE(adioz88 @ Jun 15 2008, 01:07 AM) Did you mean old model or new model of KIPS? I don't know crap about bikes actually. Anyway, kips FC is good. Also saving 2t Newest kips model , u can get RM6k ( second hand bike ) I just pick the one that 'looks' great. Also, starting with 150cc cause higher cc's looks damn shit scary to ride. New kips model first hand is 11k? |

QUOTE(EyraYus @ Jun 15 2008, 01:19 AM) sori bang.... my malay sudah ko dah. but thanks for the advice. Added on June 15, 2008, 2:06 am QUOTE(EyraYus @ Jun 15 2008, 02:00 AM) dunno bout the price not but i dont think will exceed 9K. hmmm... i'm saving this advice in a text file go for the new KIPS if u want 2stroker with the best power, engine durability and best fuel/2t consumption of all 150cc 2stroker. my KIPS been loyal to me from day 1. just then, coz i`m racing, i betray my own promise that i`ll keep her stock standard. now modified, quit racing and no way back to turn it stock. yeah. keep it stock. use good 2t oil (Penzoil Marine enuff,or MRT) i`ve been racing using Marine/MRT. do take good care of the KIPS coz replacement part will cost u bomb coz there is no imitation part, only original. any question regarding new KRRZX150 feel free to ask bro well..not so new anymore... FC how ar? annual mantainence? not using for racing la. just looks only. and getting from point a to b safely. edit: new kips is 2004 version? QUOTE(EyraYus @ Jun 15 2008, 02:27 AM) ah no. u wont get that sticker here. here KRR is Ninja. and ZX is..forgot already...thats the 1st thing i change when i got the bike ahhh... good info bro! I don't want to be burden by annual maintenance you see... Keep it at a low RM 500 maybe? annual maintainance? normal la gearbox oil (better use gearbox oil coz 2stroke need oil only to lubricate gear set..of coz bike gearbox oil) and normal wear and tear example chain, tyre, bulb, brakes, the most common problem for KIPS is stucked powervalve. dun worry if u know how it just take 10 minutes to clear it fuel consumption..er..not sure la..i can get around 250km with full tank of rm17 (old price) and my bike is modified bro. of coz not always rembat if always full throttle for sure oil will turn to water easily 2t b4 modified i can get around 900km per liter the 1st thing I do after i got my bike is..the one almost all other want to avoid : I go full speed at Karak Highway. and my bike piston only destroyed after a failed modification test And you are right about the pricing... http://www.motorsim2u.com/kawasaki2.html Looks like the moment i get my first paycheck, this will be my first ride! |
