Any fellow superbike riders out there?

I just picked this up a few weeks ago (2nd hand).

Yamaha YZF-R6 50th Anniversary

I've installed integrated LED lights, HIDs, Akrapovic Megaphone S/O Exhaust, Puig Smoked Windscreen and some other minor items.

Trying to get rid of that "chicken strip."

I'm a little less scared to ride it now - when I first got it...wow, scared to open that throttle up.

wait until you ride a 1000cc.. then suddenly you will find your bike too slow..
haha but for me 1L bike is too much lol, the acceleration is too fast for normal road

to bikers please wear safety gear all the time even when you are going to nearby places, i know it looks silly but i lost my friend recently, he had an accident near his house but due to him not wearing any gear except for his beloved arai helmet. cry.gif

Do you have any solution on how to clean rear rim? My rear rim is full of oil from the chain lubricant. Use normal soap cant clean it

You are not used to it yet. It took me awhile to get used to the wind at 3/4 riding position while maintaining speeds of 160-180. Anything after that will be rempit style of baby crouching or full tuck-in position.

Before you do anything, just make sure you've got a right fitting helmet to reduce the free play on drag lift. Otherwise you will be dealing a lot with movements with the extra free space and it is complete hazardous. Imagine that you have to focus on the road and worry about the helmet not being securely fit at the same time.

To get into a full tuck-in mode, just google for Rossi's pic and mimic his riding position and aim for 200km/h and beyond!

True i remembered one time when i went to 195kmh wearing only a cheap KHI helmet
lol the helmet was shaking like mad and the visor touched my nose
and i was wearing my sweater not my riding jacket..
but if i wear my marushin full face it is okay lol
the helmet is quite solid and fits my head nicely
