Looking at this thread discussion, now I gatal again for bikes. From my teenage progression of RXS, Enduro175, RD250, RD350YPVS & Ninja 900 was my experience with plenty of scars to show for it until early 90's. Always wanted to own a Ducati 916 or so but till today still have intention to play one but I think the confort level is not to the level for my cranky back & bones after owning a BMW R1100GS between 99' to 02, damn chun comfortable bike for long travels & Klang Valley town use as it's considered very light in relation to its 'cc'. But still a Duc' is a Duc' which is definately my next target.

Did some track time on the 916 than in Batu 3 circuit some time back, I believe not many bikes even presently can compare the handling of the slower 2nd gear & high speed corners even with the dampers not set to my riding style for novice riders like me. My 2 cents opinion here.
