This is a joke! If the helmet is FIA approved... Do we still need SIRIM ??

The std of those helmets there are a lot higher than SIRIM...

Anyway I can purchase it online and ship it here? Fark the SIRIM sticker tongue.gif

for 20 year bike experience, i only kena once .....

buy online is good, but confirm the size with local store first, some design is not really suit our head shape ...
*
My size is 60.... Or L size...

Maybe I ll get another one more helmet from eBay.

As for glove n jacket... I ll get it local cos I really need to try it on to see if it's fit, unless helmet... Correct me if I'm wrong icon_question.gif

Just got my bike. Rode it just now.... Still not very good in the gear shifting... Stalled a couple of times at low speed.

When stopping shifting down gives me a lil problem... I guess I just need more time to practice ...

Hahaha didn't expect tht driving slow is the major problem.... Beginner tht is tongue.gif

u first time ride? on a er6f?
*
yeap... pretty easy to get it going but smooth gear shifting is still a long way to go.

i remember i saw a youtube, it says 'if u r worry so much.... forget bout sports bike / super bike.... " biggrin.gif

QUOTE(project68 @ Jul 11 2012, 08:38 AM)
btw imo er6f look ugly -__-,why don't you buy xj6?the price not much different
*
ya..i short listed the 2 ... ER6f and XJ6

love the XJ6 inline 4 ... most got a XJ6, but lots of unbias great comment on ER6 over XJ6 .. so i went for the majority.

cant comment much, as i hv nvr tried XJ6 b4.... i still think both are equally good. smile.gif

sorry if i hurt ur feeling,i never suggest anything,i said 'imo' i don't like er6f,the engine sound and design, people have different taste so its up to them,it's not like he didn't buy the bike yet and i'm trying to make him buy 'other' bike,duh...

imo nobody want to buy ugly bike, same like your gf/wife...

Added on July 11, 2012, 12:13 pm
all i know xj6 is a heavy bike laugh.gif

btw do you think next year 250r/er6 model will be upgraded?i think last time they upgrade this model was at 2008 right?i hope something epic will happen next year... thumbup.gif
*
no worry bout the "ugly" side... we are all mature enough to think and analyze and def. wont get blood boiling over just a comment. a better EQ is needed to ride a bike really .... else we are no different than those mat rempit tongue.gif

as for upgrade.... well, all bike, sooner or later will be upgraded and thts business. and if i m really of thinking of upgrading.... it wont be anohter new er6 but liter bike wink.gif

QUOTE(junbecks @ Jul 11 2012, 12:16 PM)
oh, I understand.  smile.gif
I wasn't hurt or anything, just wondering because you asked him "why not buy XJ6?" and thought maybe you were using the bikes styling as a basis to decide.

No problems mate.
*
pheeew... thts cool.

Always shifting down before you completely stop and blip the throttle while shifting. It will help much.
Enjoy your ride and safe ride always  biggrin.gif

Btw, when this thread can go V2??
*
why must we rev it while shifting down, as i m holding the clutch all the way till it gets to N? blink.gif

do you think its okay for a person who never rode a bike at all except bicycle to start on a 650?
ie blade 650r or er6f
*
well... i used to ride a yamaha CDi ... thts a 90cc bike... more than 20 yrs back. ER6 f is totally a different experience, with hand clutch and a lot heavier ...

so far so good as a beginner. stalled a couple of times and getting myself to get used to the weight of the bike.

seriously, it is not fun when u want to push the bike backward from the parking (i m a 165cm shortie haha)

do u push the bike backward after u hv ride on it...or u push it at the side? blink.gif

bro ... push at the side much safer and with the side stand down to be on the safe side. My height is 5'6" and until now I still push it rather than taking a risk sked tumbang ... malu.  wink.gif
*
if u sit on it and using you toe to push it bit by bit, chances of u falling is slimmer no? but of course it doesnt look good .. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(monaz @ Jul 11 2012, 04:52 PM)
If I need to push my bike backwards, I will stand close at front facing the bike. I grabbed handle with both hand and push back with little help from my stomach balancing the bike. Can imagine how I do? Side stand must be down to be safe.

You can push from side of the bike, 1 hand on handle and 1 hand on rear tail or even both hand on handle and pull back but im only 58kg and my bike is nearly 190kg with full tank, I can’t really do that. Same if let say your bike fell down, how you gonna lift up if you are alone? You shall know the answer  sweat.gif
*
ya i hv tried pushing from side of the bike, 1 hand on handle and 1 hand on rear tail ...but tummy?? wow, tht s another level of coolness LOL ... i mean... how u use ur tummy to support la bro rclxms.gif

Qqmeng: another note for u : if u happen pick up a passenger, pls advice ur passenger alert u when they try to step on it, is hard to balance when u don't expect that force.
I fall down once at island plaza, it take me, passenger + security to push up my bike.  . . . .  Damn malu
*
thanks for the advise... not planning to take up any passenger at the movement. not until i master the bike 1st smile.gif

but i m thinking of installing a box, something tht can be install n uninstall easily ... not sure which type i should get... those box is pretty handy. hmm.gif

QUOTE(sanosizo @ Jul 12 2012, 09:53 AM)
if on level road, pushing big bike is not that hard, IF you can put the bike straight where the weight is balanced. but we always feel scared if the bike lean on the other side cos if it does then prepare for some quad damage biggrin.gif never reverse the bike with you on it if you only manage to tip toe. a simple loss of grip will be enough for disaster, it can be sand, leaf, plastic bag, uneven surface etc.

most bikes will look very nice with side boxes but they are not practical for everyday use, if going through traffic is your daily routine.
*
ya... maybe is time for me to consider getting a backpack.... easier for documents, grocery and stuff... smile.gif

Dude, piece of advice. If you've a bunch of friends with big bikes, do not attempt to try them. I tried a Z1000 when I had a Er6f and next thing I know, I'm surfing mudah to look for a new bike d. tongue.gif Anyways, ride safe!
*

biggrin.gif ya.... tht was the advise given to me too .... most of them said "just get the Z1000... else u ll be selling ya ER6 in no time"

and another goes "unless go ride solo ..... once u join us... u ll be riding something bigger very soon...."

and the list goes on....
