it's not just about what u ride.. it's about how u ride... I agree with you.. I will salute anyone who take their safety as a priority...

That's the different between a rider and rempit...
*
My motto is always be prepared and dress for the crash! Learn and experienced this first hand from my sifus. I will always trade comfort for safety when I ride.

I've seen ONCE a 135LC rider with full face helmet, Dainese Air2Tex mesh jacket, long pants & riding boots while I was driving. Traffic was clear, went to his side - wind down my window, blinked the honk and thumbs up to him.

Went to Naza today.Ducati 795 seems worth of every money, despite that it's not CBU.But anyways, compared to Shiver 750, Monster's 800cc chassis still feels lighter. But my friend laughed at me saying only girls buy this bike despite of it's small size. But for starters, it's a good bike.

Costs RM 62k otr price.Maybe for some is affordable. But for me, still need to revise back.
*
The Monster 795 is actually using a 696 chassis. Everything replicates back the 696 except for the engine - which some say is the same as 796, where some say is a de-scaled version of 796. I was a tad inching of getting a 696 back then - but opt for a Z750 coz I am a complete mechanical klutz. Off with the italiano flair and went with the jap practicality.

IMHO, the 795 itself is a nice bike - confirm sure get heads turn due to looks and sound even at stock form. If I did not have my Z, I would have booked the 795 as my secondary/spare bike due to its competitive and good price point.

Dont laugh - many women today rides >500cc bikes. Men being men, always a chauvinist confirm do not want to "lose" to the fairer gender...

I miss my Z....

Collar bone also have not heal completely - still feel sore when pressure is applied. Even bike's ready also cannot ride yet. Anyhow, exhaust is still good. Just minor cosmetics touch up would make it bling bling again.

For us, he would loan us a temporary bike. I strongly suggest you work it out with him since I have formally introduced both of you. But again, it is always his discretion la - just dont quote me to force the way through.

yep, not many in Malaysia put this shit, I've seen a lot of them just remove the plate and stick the number on it's tail lol... I have the street legal (JPJ) size numbers, not sure how much speed trap I got cry.gif ..

it is just a slip-on, RM4300 trade in with the stock one... currently looking for the mid pipe (Akrapovic Y-Pipe), a cat-less free flowing mid pipe with a O2 sensor bung on it... RM2300 sad.gif

user posted image

the stock mid pipe comes with a catalytic converter, the catalytic converter is there just for the emmision control, remove it you will get a deeper exhaust note, a slight performance boost and less heat brows.gif , but somehow have to tune the bike...
*
Save the money and get a full exhaust system. Muahahahaha!

It depends on consumer market trending. Suzuki may produce the best bike, but if it is parallel imported in with lack of spare parts - that would be a clear choice for me to stay away. Unless you have a 2nd bike and tonnes of patience.

Even the wait for my fairings on my kawasaki had my patience boiling...

Just couple more stuffs and I am done tinkering with this bike. Last dyno run resulted to 137whp and 10.5kg of torque. Fuel consumption is at average of 12.5kilometres per litre of Ron95 petrol. Mileage is clocked at street ala mix rempit riding and auntie riding a scooter to morning market to pick up weekly marketings. Had a 2 months break from riding this bike, and it still makes me grin wickedly at the twist of the throttle. Wooo hoooooooooooooooo!

Bike's good to go long time already. Rider problem only. I have been in and out of country so often that I spend more time abroad and working rather than enjoying the little things in life. Waiting for my sifu to bring me to sample the finer side of life...

Surprisingly, it is cheaper than my Puig's screen. Ordered online, delivered right to the doorstep at RM320.

RM320 for the new fairing? not bad!

I order a few internal engine parts online for future modification, 50USD delivery fees... very expensive sad.gif

Service manual really does the job on finding the part number thumbup.gif
*
Only for the screen. Friend ordered a Powerbronze windshield, shapes like sportsbike's double bubble - same price as well.

Ordering online is a pain when it comes to shipping fees.

About fueling up Ron95 or 97 - most of us fuels up using Ron95. Tried Ron97 initially, but no difference for a noobie rider be it on a Z750 or Z1000.

QUOTE(T600 @ Mar 8 2012, 02:02 PM)
speaking about quickshift, sometimes when I race, I just shift up without using clutch lol... btw I don't have quick shifter...
*
Quickshifter - I have, PowerCommander addon which is a push type for my Z. Compared to OEM quickshifter that comes STOCK with bikes such like S1000RR - addon quickshifters are not comparable. It is much smoother and the shift feels like a tack when u bump the shifter. I have had my quickshifter tuned couple of times and there are still occasional issues with 5th or 6th gear on high load.

To say it is a good at track - very subjective. If you have the money to spare and just want the feel of upshifting at wide open throttle, just go get it. Personally, i just like the feel of gunning the gears all the way when the bike screams to go faster.

Hey guys.. I'm a 17 year old boy who is very interested in riding bikes.. I'm gonna get a license after SPM. smile.gif
Just wondering here, what kind of hairstyles do you guys have??
Because of the helmet, can't spike our hair. So what hairstyles do you have? biggrin.gif

oh... and I'm in love with Er-6f... So sexy.. Seeing plenty on the road now. smile.gif Everywhere I go there's either Er-6f/n..
So nice.. Always love sportbikes.. but maybe will never have a chance to ride one..  cry.gif

Got a spiky hairstyle - with or without anything applied on the hair. Pop the headwear and helmet, take it out and hair still stands. Friends, associates and acquaintance always tell me if cicak fall on my head also can die..

2 options:
1. Blip the throttle when downshifting as advised by T600
2. Get a bike with slipper clutch

QUOTE(lucifah @ Mar 11 2012, 12:29 PM)
guys,

how important is sticking on a tank pad?

i know it's more to aesthetic thingy, but is it necessary to have one to avoid scuffing the tank?

plus, there's so many variety of tank pads, and most of them looks the same (carbon look vinyl), but prices varies from rm 15 to 100+

i know some are imitation, but does it make any difference slapping on a rm 30 tank pad and a rm 90 one? i mean, they are just vinyl stickers, right?
*
To me, tank pad is just a protective sticker that serves 2 purpose:
1. Aesthetics
2. Protect against belt, button and etc that comes in contact with the tank

No difference for me between a cheapo and good tank pad. I believe it is the adhesive they use. If it wears out, I will just replace them. Furthermore, if I get a 2nd hand bike - I will just get a new tank pad.

Imho, the only 2 tank pads that appeals to my eyes is the stock ZX14r and CB1000r's tank pad.

From the plate number, looks like the new model's ZX10 if it is purchased new. RIP Ridwan - u will be missed.

A ZX10 rider I know low sided his bike - both rider and bike is alrite just a bruised ego. Saw the scuffs on his leather, lucky he was properly geared.

Between the S1000RR and RC8? S1000RR of course!

My sifu likes the RC8, hence I would go with a S1000RR if he does that.

A more constructive opinion between this two, from reviews and word of mouth - the RC8 was positioned as a track weapon. From lap times it does, it was just not performing as well as their other competitors. Bling factor, the bike looks damn nice and unique. It has a styling of its own.

Personally, I am not a fan of V2/4 engines and the BMW badge + heritage of blue white racing stripes on the S1000RR is hard to resist.

Congrats on your new 6n. Just remember, riding this big CC bikes is not about speed but more towards control and manoeuvring at low speeds.

Lets hope on the next refuel, you get her number...
