QUOTE(icecolddamncold @ Jun 30 2012, 10:28 AM) ah i see.. thanks.. my friend is selling one at rm100k.. so thinking whether its a good buy or not, not sure what accessories are thrown in, all i know is a full Arrow system exhaust.. will inquire more then the helmet is not the right size or fir for your head. by the way guys, asking sth about a helmet, just got my Shoei RF-1100 helmet ytd, tried it on, yes very snug fit.. but problem is its kind of pain at the crown area (the skull right above the ear) where my skull is directly touching the inner shell of the helmet.. the hard part without any padding.. if u guys understand where im referring to get a snug, but comfortable helmet using helmet that cause you pain may distract you from focusing during riding, and may cause accident worse, if it restricts blood flow and you can pass out when riding long distance |

QUOTE(icecolddamncold @ Jun 30 2012, 04:09 PM) its snug, but not comfortable damn... rm2k helmet u have to let go just like that only... the risk of buying online w/o trying it onn firstso i just brought it out for an hour ride, really tak boleh tahan the pain caused to the crown area on my head.. after that really feel cant focus on ride anymore.. sad case anyone interested in my Shoei RF-1100 Merciless helmet? Size L, as good as new only half hour usage anyone knows how much does it cost for a brand new one in msia? mine i got it from the states for $549.99 including shipping charges.. just wondering how much should i price it i bought mine last month (from local online retailer) and was very relieved when it fits like a glove the 1st time... QUOTE(hanizhan @ Jun 30 2012, 04:38 PM) depends on many factors - your bike size, riding type and budgetbuying brand new will cost significantly more, but you have not much hidden cost or suprise repair costs, just occasional periodic servicing buying 2nd hand may save you some money initially, but it may need constant repairs, which will eat up your monthly budget bank loans are available. but at high interest rate. HP for m/cycle is usually very limited and the interest is at around 6%, with 70% financing margin (meaning 30% down payment) usually, one will make a personal loan and use the money to buy the bike. Bank Rakyat and Public Bank is the top choice for this option due to low interest (4-4.5%), but the amount of loan is very limited to your income level while others (including yours truly) just splunk the cash and be happy with it... after 3 months of riding, i realized something
riding a big cc high powered bike in everyday commute is like playing game with cheat codes you have the speed of a car on highways and you have the agility and maneuvrability of a moped in traffic jams the more i ride the bike, the more i despise driving - being stuck in traffic, having to tolerate slow drivers and worse of all, not being able to crawl to the front line at traffic lights... and when the lights turn green, accelerate into oblivion just my 2 sen. QUOTE(junbecks @ Jul 1 2012, 09:01 PM) when you have the ability to take a deep breath, relax and know that you cannot do anything about bad traffic, is when you know you are mature enough to handle a motorbike. (or any vehicle for that matter) u got a point there.i used to be okay driving slowly in traffic, both in a car and on a scooter. old fag liao. but that was before i got to know what a 70hp on a 200kg machine was like... luckily i still ride a 650cc twin. at least i know there's still upgrades, a 750 i4, then a 1 litre bike with 190+hp would be my pinnacle Added on July 1, 2012, 9:37 pm QUOTE(project68 @ Jul 1 2012, 09:13 PM) btw is ninja 250r next year 2013 will have new model or the same like this year with improve design or something?coz i wanna buy next year rumors from Ninjette.orgQUOTE Kawasaki announced today that they will completely redo the ninjette for 2013. The change is meant to crush the CBR250 before it gets started. So I guess we'll need a new section of the forums - pre-gen, mid-gen and new-gen. Some highlights of what they are going to do: Fuel injection (finally!) optional ABS higher flow exhaust with new connector pipe and a higher-volume 3-chamber muffler less restrictive airbox upgraded suspension (finally!),with rear adjustable single offset laydown shock a flatter, better padded seat to avoid cramming into the tank wider tires so we'll have more aftermarket choices (150 rear/120 front), but Battlax radials will come stock gearing will move to 15/45 to make it more highway capable and get a more useable 1st gear LED lights and signals for added safety Cosmetic mods will include ZX-14 and 650r styling cues. The blinkers will be flushmount and the rear fender will be redone. Kawi says it will have 36hp out of the box with the new exhaust and FI. Pricing should stay the same at $4500. I can't wait. QUOTE(monaz @ Jul 3 2012, 04:56 PM) I dont think many know about this. I believe it is rare in Malaysia but i seen many at my place. Mostly owned as a 2nd bike by the duner's after their Quad. and according to some website i read, u need a B-full license to ride one of thatI never read the details about this "bike" but if not mistaken, i asked one of spyder owner before and they said there is 2 version, full auto and manual. Not really sure if correct. On road, once im side by side at traffic light. They are pretty fast lol. And they take corner without fear. Not bad for OKU type bike apparently, JPJ classifies the Can-Am as a bike, rather than a car |

QUOTE(Jason @ Jul 5 2012, 04:24 PM) just wondering, anybody using superbikes (500cc and above) for daily ride? how is it like in terms of managing traffic in urban areas? i do.I saw the ER6F in the flesh, saw the price tag, and I think hmm..why not. gained some leg and shoulder in the process need a bit of adjusting, coming from a scooter background fc is bad. 10sen / km. a full tank of rm 20 of ron95 last 210km calfs get burned when bike is stationary and it's hot as hell definitely not a practical choice but it's worth it. got gaya what. hahahah |

QUOTE(Jason @ Jul 5 2012, 10:26 PM) hahaha.. I only ride once in a blue moon and no bike at home. but like what you said. gaya mah! the ER6F is really nice, and the price is within reach. but that kinda FC is really bad -- though still cheaper than cars. 6n - nakedyou riding the ER6F? btw how tall are you and can you flat foot on it? 165cm, if both foot, toe in only but usually when i stop, the left foot stays on the gear changer and the right foot is flat footed (of course, this is with riding boot, if sneakers, still have to toe a bit) i ride daily to work (except sunday when i just let the bike stay in the sun). best part of my ride is tapau those moped kids who think their LC is fast, or any ah bengs who ride their beng-ed vios or city like it's an F1 car, but when the lights turn green... 0-100 in less than 5 seconds and oh yeah, get a litre bike. i thought 1-100km/h in 5 seconds was awesome. dunno in just 3 months, i felt it's sooooooooo sloooowwwwww~~~~ a litre bike can do it in less than 3 sec. |

QUOTE(farique @ Jul 6 2012, 09:56 AM) i am thankful in Malaysia where we dont need to have a physical number plate stuck on your windscreen. LOL Indonesia have the same metal plate number too as in IndiaIn fact, the plate number has the expiry date, which is just like our road tax. so every few yrs, they'll have a new plate (same number lar, just new plate) |

QUOTE(SonnyCooL @ Jul 8 2012, 03:49 PM) helmet also try local first, get the size correct n feel comfortable .... then order online QUOTE(qqmeng @ Jul 8 2012, 04:04 PM) although helmet size is maybe fixed at certain cm or inches, the shape and fit is different from each brand and seriesit's very important to get the right fit, or you'll be having lots of uncomfortable hours of riding |

QUOTE(qqmeng @ Jul 11 2012, 12:41 PM) sorry, am a noob here.... why in most of the thread, there alwasy ask for a new thread? i dont see any problem for us continuing with this thread.. forum regulations. any thread is limited to 2,500 posts maxwe are wayyy beyond that. so, anyone want to star V2? share the link to V2 here, and i'll close this thread QUOTE(qqmeng @ Jul 11 2012, 04:16 PM) so far so good as a beginner. stalled a couple of times and getting myself to get used to the weight of the bike. i'm 165, and i push he bike sideways. no problem. the trick is u can use your hip (resting against the seat) to support and push the bike backseriously, it is not fun when u want to push the bike backward from the parking (i m a 165cm shortie haha) do u push the bike backward after u hv ride on it...or u push it at the side? QUOTE(SonnyCooL @ Jul 11 2012, 04:32 PM) i learned this the hard way... many time red faces coz tried too hard trying to reverse the bike, and malu in front of many people staring at you QUOTE(onejme @ Jul 14 2012, 07:59 PM) anyone knows if there is ducati monster 796 at naza? not the 795..different on the back arm and rims.tq it's a 696. Italy CBU. single side swingarm. more expensive than he bigger, thai assembled 795QUOTE(qqmeng @ Jul 14 2012, 09:44 PM) u are still inside the engine breaking-in period. don't overstress the engine in the first 1,000km or so (kawa manual recommend 1,600km) , or you'll end up with a broken engine insteadQUOTE(qqmeng @ Jul 15 2012, 01:35 PM) err..wanna ask... is there a way to switch off the head light for my ER6f? no. JPJ regulation.it is always on... and... i wld prefer if it can hv both the light on at the same time during the normal light not high beam ... |
