I actually like telegram because of how good the client is
multi-client, light and smooth UI, cloud-sync message, easy bot API
yes I know the privacy of message may be compromised if message all being stored in their server but tbh if you really care about privacy or wanna be real secrecy about what you say you shouldn't even consider any of those ready made tools
