 Memorandum of Transfer Stamp Duty Exemption

Can anyone guide me on the eligibility of the exemption cause I was told that only SPA signed this year is eligible for the 75% stamp duty exemption for houses priced between 500k - 1m.

From what I read, it applies to all first time homeowners but it never mentioned anything about SPA date.

i see, so that means for now, properties above 500k have no exemption on stamp duty yet?

currently the one in force is PUA 53/2021 (below 500k first house)

above 500k dont have exemption yet. though it was discussed in the budget, the official warta isn't out yet.

it actually just get gazetted

unfortunately the procedure still not clear... just signed my SPA few days ago but lawyer also blur blur... follow up with him dont want reply d

im waiting for more clarification as well, hopefully i can get the stamp duty exempted since it's not a small amount sweat.gif

It’s gazetted guys...But it’s not so clear cut as it seems..Here have a look especially at the clause item 2B

if u buy subsale, u can only get 1st housebuyer stamp duty exemption if your SPA is below 500k

for the gazette u quoted, is for imiliki program (buy from developer) something like the HOC exemption last time. the developer must apply for the project to be approved under imiliki.

Yes in other words..basically you need to pay at least 10% DP & 25% stamp duty in order to be eligible for it..Which makes me think how does this helps the first time buyers at the 1st place?

it doesnt help first time buyers. it helps developers to clear their overpriced trash.
