Which floor do you live on? Is your unit close to garbage room?
The closer you are to the ground or garbage room, the higher chances of having roaches. If you're far from both & you cover all the drains properly, there should be no roaches, fingers crossed. Of course, neighbors do play a role. If the adjacent units have an infestation, you're SOL
You can also complain to management and have pest control on the common area such as garbage room
Previously i was renting a unit in Vortex (apologies for name dropping), during unit viewing everything was fine. After i moved in .
I started seeing dead baby roaches on my way to throw trash. Then it start appearing in my unit. Couldnt stop them and couldnt get rid of them. It was a nightmare.
Now i moved somewhere near G tower, though no more baby roaches. It is now replaced with full grown adults
I wonder if its the area or just my luck.
If you do not have small children and is not sensitive towards pest control chemicals, you can ask pest control to come. You need to do it every few months I think.
Look at 1:11 mark onwards

Currently level 20+, i guess you could say its on of the unit thats near the garbage room.
However this current residence, i dont see roached on my way to the garbage room. That being said, i didnt really go roach hunting in the garbage room. This building has those built in AC to the unit, where there are vents on the ceiling.
I wonder if there could also come from there.
Also if you or your neighbors don't seal the garbage bag properly, that is basically inviting roaches to come. I tie up my garbage bags either with a rubber band or string. For food wastes, I use two garbage bags (smaller ones). Unless it's too little, I ensure that I clear my garbage bin everyday after dinner (I use S size garbage bags because I want to have minimal garbage at any time).
Do these & I guess you can try the pest control that I have mentioned above.
