QUOTE(Doom @ Jan 7 2008, 12:10 AM) It can't coz the fan clips meant for 25mm thickness fan only... That ain't a good solution. Hmmm, I guess I just have to find a good 92x92x25mm fan at Jalan Pasar then. Wanna do a 120mm push and 92mm pull config...or vice versa, depending on which is better <-- Darksythe...what do you think?but u could always use some trick like zip tie or twist wire to mount it to the cooler .... |

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Jan 7 2008, 02:30 AM) My boss clayclws wants everything nicely done in his CM Stacker so no zip ties or alien ties are allowed Went there today...all the good stores are closed There are plenty of 92mm fans in Pasar Road |

QUOTE(Doom @ Jan 7 2008, 02:36 AM) I go to the one that nearby Pudu Plaza ... there's few hawker stall outside of the shop selling chicken rice... Ah...that's not even at Jalan Pasar yet. Hmmm, good idea. I'll take a look. Wanna get some Panaflo It has some industrial fans on the shelf right after entering the shop .... Hey Darksythe...can you do a review on a push pull config? 92mm push and 120mm pull, and then reverse them. 120mm push and 92mm pull. Hehe~! Hope that's not too much to ask... Added on January 7, 2008, 3:50 amHmm...come to think of it, the 120mm fan will not fit my casing when mounted on the Ultima-90. Any users care to trade your 92mm fan clip with a 120mm fan clip? Using Ultima-90 now. It's really good.
My previous Zalman CNPS9700NT (comes with 120mm fan) priced at RM245 (at the moment) could get my E6550 up to 515MHz FSB and 48°C core temp in an air-con room; and 490MHz FSB and 50°C at room temperature. Ultima-90 with a 90mm priced at RM219 (including fan) could get my E6550 up to 530MHz FSB and 47°C core temp in an air-con room; and 500MHz FSB and 48°C at room temperature. Everything else at same settings. The results are benchable, prime95-ed, Orthos-ed and SuperPI-ed. Very happy with this heatsink. Imagine if I could fit 120mm fan unto it... |
