The Heat Sink came with tones of accessories to accommodate the mounting. It did not however come with a fan, but it doesn't matter smile.gif.

Look how thin the Ultima 90 is compared to the Scythe Infinity

Glorious fins for heat conductivity

Look at those Heat Pipes. real sexy

Lets not forget the flat base smile.gif

This Heat Sink is by far the smallest, lightest and sharpest I have used and handled in my life (disregarding the stock Intel Heat Sink that came with my X6800). I did not have very high expectations but still, i was determined to see how this small, light Heat Sink performed in the real world situation.

Test Bed:

Processor: Intel C2D E6600 @ 3.2GHz @ 1.350 vcore
Motherboard: Asus Maximus Formula Special Edition
RAM Module: Team Xtreem DDR2 Special OPB Edition (Micron D9GMH)
Graphic Card: Galaxy 7300GT
Power Supply Unit : OCZ Powerstream 600W
Hard Disk: Western Digital 36Gb Raptor
Operating System : Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2

Testhing Materials Used :
1. Artic Cooling MX-2
2. Silverstone FM 123 (120mm) at 1750 RPM
3. NMB 90mm fan at 2000 RPM

Testing Methods Used :
1. Each Heat Sink is tested twice(cool down is 5 minutes between each test), the average results is taken as the result.
2. The same amount and type of Thermal Paste used is kept constant for all Heat Sinks used
3. All Heat Sinks are tested with the same fans (excluding the Ultima 90i tested with a 90mm fan and the Water Cooling setup)
4. A Thermal Probe is placed at the edge of the CPU to retrieve the temperature. The Thermal Probe ensures accuracy in Temperature reading.
5. Load test were done by running ORTHOS Small FFT test priority 8 for 20 minutes. Ambient temp prior every test was be measured.

Installation :
This was a relatively easy process. It only took me 10 minutes to assemble everything on my motherboard smile.gif

The Results :

Conclusion :

Pros :-
Small (fits easily into the case)
Includes clips for 120mm fan mounting
Easy Installation for heatsink onto the board
Light (wont bend the motherboard compared to other heavy heat sinks)

Cons : -

Rather sharp.
Slightly difficult to install 120mm fan

Thermalright are well known for manufacturing excellent Thermal products. The Ultima 90i is no exception to the case.
The Thermalright Ultima 90i is small, lightweight and easy to install. The performance on the other hand is superb given the fact that is is built with a 90mm body.
With the innovation of adding clips that support up to 120mm fans, Thermalright has certainly outdone themselves with this Heat Sink.

The Thermalright Ultima 90i is an excellent product. With the solid build and a price tag of a mere Rm 199, this is the Heat Sink to buy.

Special thanks to Kevin for providing me with this lovely Heat Sink
Special thanks to Shawty for the Thermal Paste

i beg to differ.

@darksythe bro
is there a way to rotate the ultima 90i to vertical position?
so the fan can blow to the exhaust
*
yeah why not? but its just that some of the NB heatsinks are tall and may cause it to be non-fitting
