Anyone with experience of online purchase of shoes from overseas on paying duties or sales tax for shoes of total purchase value over Rm1k?

Thanks

Depends on which courier you are using

If it's the country's national courier then poslaju will be in charge of delivering the goods to you.

1) You'll receive a letter to appoint poslaju to pay the duty tax, fee i am not sure.. Maybe rm50?

2) Or you head to customs yourself and make the payment at klia2 poslaju.

If it's DHL/FEDEX etc, they'll inform you about the duty before it even reaches Malaysia and you'll have to make the payment to them.. Hassle free and convenient.. Alot faster than our national courier

I never imported shoes before, but this website may be able to give u an idea of the costs involved. They have a "shoes" category.

Use DHL. They will clear custom and duty for you and you just need to pay DHL online. They will email/sms you the duty/tax cost with payment link. Zero hassle.

Shoes under hs code 640411 NIL duty only 10% sst from actual value. If ddp term (delivery duty paid) all should be paid.

Do you not have the 4 type of email addresses?

1. Personal
2. Spam/throwaway
3. Security (finance related, typically)
4. Work/professional
