In SWAT: Target Liberty, the most authentic and realistic third-person combat tactical shooter on the PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, you will lead a team of highly trained officers on missions to safely rescue hostages while subduing and eliminating enemies utilising authentic SWAT combat tactics, close-quarters combat, and less than lethal weapons; all the while uncovering a plot that threatens to drive the U.S. to the brink of a world wide nuclear conflict.

As SWAT leader, Kurt Wolf, it is up to you to lead your team through each mission and not only survive, but minimise hostage as well as, enemy casualties and recover evidence. As the plot unfolds, you find yourself further entangled in a vicious Korean Triad gang war that is being controlled by a group of Al-Qaeda lieutenants who operate an elite unit named Hammer of God, whose ultimate goal is to frame North Korea for the detonation of a nuclear device in New York.

* Tactical / Squad-Based Gameplay - The most realistic squad-based tactical combat shooter available for the PSP handheld system.
* Randomised AI Placement - Experience unique gameplay every time you play with randomised enemy AI placement.
* SWAT Team Development - SWAT: Target Liberty occupies a unique space in the shooter genre with its non-lethal means of completing missions without casualties and unnecessary kills to earn points and increase your team's stats and skills in a hyper-realistic style of gameplay.
* Multiplayer - Using the SWAT "Kill-House" generator, players can create random multiplayer maps of varying sizes to guarantee a new experience everytime you play with your friends.

the sole reason i got this game:
looks almost 100% like Killzone Liberation thumbup.gif

then i got it.... sweat.gif

as shown in the screen shots,it does look and more or less play like KL.
but personally,
i find the camera to be way worst than KL
while KL's camera moves to(more often than not) show the entire battlefield/war zone/enemy you are attacking, i find SWAT's camera to be very very very slow.
almost everytime i manage to see someone,my team mates end up taking him out for me. doh.gif

Squad tactics

KL doesnt have much squad based combat, and SWAT is centered on this.
but i prefer KL's squad command compared to this.
KL slows down combat, shows a wider coverage of the area, and has points where you can order your mates to.
SWAT pretty much has a slow ass camera, and to point to a certain area, you actually have to maneuver around obstacles! rclxub.gif
most games that have a guidance system allows you to go thru obstacles with the reticule, but this game requires you to go around them! doh.gif

controls

definitely KL.
SWAT,IMO,has waaay to many things cramped into the controller.
at times i forget which button is to shoot(and that's never happened to me before sweat.gif )

multiplayer
lacking.
only adhoc? sad.gif

graphics
prefer KL's..
dont think SWAT comes anywhere close to KL tongue.gif

an average game,IMHO.
it's fun to use the SWAT tactics, but it falls short of that "oomph" needed to make it addictive.
i play it for 10 minutes, get bored and switch off the psp laugh.gif doh.gif

major enemy would be the camera.
i just hate it.
tooo sloooowww....

IGN thinks the same way
QUOTE
There's certainly room for a tactical isometric shooter, but that game is going to have to be at least half as good as the high water mark set by Killzone: Liberation, and this game doesn't even come close.

I got the same opinion as Mgsrulz.. played a bit of it and pretty much got very bored.. story or even the gameplay is not even as good as Killzone Liberation, graphic wise and movement physics on Killzone is much better too.. No WAY close to Killzone Liberation !! laugh.gif
