Issit only me or everyone here prefer car with fabric seat instead of leather?

First because fabric if jemur bawah panas park outside still okay to sit. Tak rasa panas. Leather if jemur bawah matahari wah so panas need to cool down first.

Second LEATHER seat if you notice it will always kedut kedut after some years.

Compare to fabric seat, this seat look new macam baru keluar kedai especially after you clean it with carpet/seat extractor machine even after 5 years or more...

I prefer fabric seats too
However, after a few year, the fabrics will wear out a bit and would have collected some sweat and stench.

These days have shops that can really do a good job cleaning the seat fabrics.
They will remove all the seats, vacuum, wash it & sun dry. Vacuum & clean the inside cabin without the seats.
Only install back once everything is dry & clean.

I prefer fabric seat.

Only thing bad about fabric seat is collect a lot of dust, and will leave ugly marks after kena water especially from rain

Fabric seats everyday seat the friction will spoil your pants / jeans if you look at the butt / thigh area while leather does not. Technically richer people wouldn't want their clothes to spoil like this.

Real leather is good. Not those plastic seats you get in your MY and JP cars. X70 excluded.

quite a paradox tho, rich people have more than enough money to replace those clothes easily and wouldnt worry on smol stuff like this

Pros - no need worry hot weather and friendly to amoi leg
Cons - Dusty / Dust collector ; eventually your car will smelly (especially if your seat carry some dusty thing or cheap plywood box)
Cons - If kena water or juice will have white stains ; hard to clean (need wet vacs)

Nappa Leather
Does not have Cons from Fabric
Not friendly to amoi leg

Fake leather / PU leather
-Even panas than normal leather (because kilat surface from PU leather)

i prefer leather cos easier to clean and wont stain, fabric will absorb those dirty stuffs and u need to take extra care with it

Fabric is plush. leather no matter how good it is, u will still feel the hardness if compare to fabric.

I got both btw, and I hate both. lol. fabric easily collect dust, while leather ur bontot will get deep fry once enter car during sunny day

Kimchi car Nappa leather, 11 years dah, no kedut. Still very comfortable

actually, its a misconcept that every leather will crack. it is not. my car this year 13 years old. touchwood, still not crack. tips is, keep leather moisture. just wipe.so damn easy.

Prefer leather. Also, i mostly park indoors so rarely have to worry about hot seats.

Depends on the fabric. I was fortunate enough to sit in a Honda E (first one Weststar brought into MY) and the fabric seats are easily as good (better imho) as any leather found in a 5 series or E class.

Alcantara best.

Fabric seat when new is ok. After 1 year, the smell is awful because it absorbs smell easier than leather. Besides, any stain on fabric seats then good luck cleaning them. And also fabric seats easier for those bugs to breed.

Because normally only luxury cars use real leather. Those p2 or proton all PU leather.

Got choice meh Leather or fabric? I think not many cars give you any options to choose. Buy less than 100k cars get fabric, buy midrange 150k cars get PU, buy 200k cars get leather.

alcantara leather is good, but still dont last long compare to good fabric and cost more to maintain and repair

those old bucket or semi bucket seats punya fabric usually all still good but those alcantata all need to be rewarp or restore as cracked as owner didnt maintain or always parked in the hot sun

These days fabric are treated & are hydrophobic.
And have many shops that specialises in car seats cleaning plus details cleaning of the car interiors - seat belts, carpets, dashboard, steering wheel and column & etc.
They will remove all the seats. Clean & sun baked, once dry will treat the seat with protection.
You can Google up the nearest shop for the prices and the services provided.

meanwhile, leather seats just need a good cleaner cream, a good conditioner, etc. wipe wipe wipe.
