anyway, everybody manage to hit 3.0ghz and above. really kecik ati la now...dun wanna kawan u all lg..

last night my vista ultimate got prob after multiple try on testing the capability of my ram., i bought 667mhz micron rams a couple of month ago but never got chance to test it. my D9DPN capable of reaching 850++mhz with 1.95v Vdimm...due to my stupid mobo, which limiting my ocing, thats the highest i can go...

guys, ever heard of chips FP-Y5?? is this got good overclocability??
coz with D9DPN, i can oc untill 2.8ghz for my proc.but with FP-Y5, can get 2.45ghz only..

is this caused of my D9DPN which need lower Vdimm to oc higher??

ur rams is 667 right?? if u set cpu/6, the speed will be 667. if u set cpu/8, then it will be 533mhz...

my ocing result.
i know my ocing result not as good as u all with F3 which manage to hit 3.0ghz and above...
(superPI result, mistakenly klik "ok" button after done )

u got same mobo with me there...that mobo got limited Vdimm. but still ur proc can be oced....

me using D9DPN, overclockability still ok...
after oced, try to tighten my rams timing:

Latency at 4-4-4-12:


The diff just transparable during benchmark. in daily usage, can't be differentiate actually between these two setting...

now my temp idle around 38-40'c. is it normal? coz b4 this, i oc my proc to 2.4ghz, need 1.36V for Vcore. now oc to 2.7ghz, 1.40 Vcore fail super PI. so i increse it to 1.45v...seems like the temp abit higher than usuall..

but thats normal right, coz i increasing my Vcore anyway...

of course by increasing Vcore and Vdimm, ur procs and rams will be hotter...thats depends on the increament u made...
for Rams, anythings beyond 2.2v, may need proper cooling. maybe good airflow between those rams also enough to cool the rams..

can be fit, suppose after updating bios no prob..but some features will no available if used with AM2 mobo...

My F2 can hit 2.5ghz @ 1.40v...
at 2.7ghz, need around 1.45v and 2.8ghz need almost 1.5v...

suppose u manage to get those ..u are doing FYP at AMD right??

then u should ask them to make the proc more oc-able and cheap2 price....

to make it simple, oc between 1.8-2.2v is save and covered by crucial warranty. above than that, bye2~

depends on the chips used also...my value rams, Yp-F5 can oc from 667 till 900mhz also..
my other value rams, using micron D9DPN, can hit 900mhz (2.1v Vdimm) - 1000mhz...

u are the god of underclocking which is in the different class of ur own....
very envy ur skill la....

that one u need to check at bro trowa....coz 3M tape too thick and the glue too strong, not recommended for ur heatspreader...
