still trying bro...
i know i can boot to windows with 3500... and dun test further... because i need pump a lot vcore to stable it
u can't imaging how hot is my pwm temp when upping vcore to 1.500.. over 100 and shut down =X
i will update any new result as soon as it is fully tested =X
Just hoping new ATI board doesn't that hot...
mind to share how is your pwm temp when u are overclocking or prime?
Gonna change to AX78 when it arrive ... hope it won't fail me..

PWM ICs are hot when u pump high vcore
that's common for all mobo laugh.gif
btw, what kinda PWM ICs are use on ur mobo? interfil ICs? or those half opened 1?
don't think ABIT will use interfil PWM ICs hmm.gif
what's ur mobo model adi? i go google search and have a look brows.gif
and what's the estimated price for ur new baby AX78? brows.gif

brisbane DTS spoil
you will nv know the real temp of a brisbane proc by using software monitoring
when u use a thermometer to test it
you will get totally different answer smile.gif

p/s:later 12pm to 1pm i free
waiting for u brows.gif
can go for lunch if u want laugh.gif

glad to see ur results is finally out  laugh.gif
hmm... but the vcore that u pump is a bit high  hmm.gif
from my test report, your proc only need 1.21v in order to get 3.1G Pi 1M stable brows.gif
*
bro dblooi,
3.1G@1.21v only stable for 1 instance of Pi 1M, run OCCT or 2 instances of SuperPI 32M giving me error.
maybe my mobo and others hardware not as powerful as urs... blush.gif
however, i'm quite happy with it can passed the testing with 3ghz@+0.10v or 3.1ghz@0.15v coz the temperature is less then 40 degree celscius thumbup.gif

bro cyberloner,
why i not prime for 24hrs? coz the TS set the standard or rule "Show your SuperPi 32M or Orthos [>1 hour] with CPU-Z overclocked screenshot " in order for us to list our oc result at this thread... this is his/this thread standard right? tongue.gif
well, if he set the rule to "Show your SuperPi 32M and Orthos [>24 hours] with CPU-Z overclocked screenshot", everyone will busy priming for sure... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

But who use Prime anymore nowdays?? blink.gif
Old program single threaded...Orthos or OCCT is better...

prime is s**k nowadays.. unless u play single core.. so use wut is suitable n do wut is the best

it's show edi, u need to pump a lot of vcore to make its super duper stable, to make faster assumption, just orthos, blend cpu n ram, after pass one test, just add more 2 notch vcore, n u r ready for good system

bro, i afraid u gonna be disappointed later sad.gif
max vcore that good air cooling and good water cooling can reach has not much different
good air cooler can support ur proc till 1.6v-1.65v,
with good WC u can reach around 1.65v like that
but definitely the clockspeed won't be following,
due to the heat, though u adi pumped enough vcore,
unless u use ice+water cooling or even greater cooling
then that's different story laugh.gif
From what i know, no one can bench super pi stably at 3.7GHz with normal AC or WC smile.gif

u guys dun understand why prime is important...
amd have limit... if oc more that its limit... add more vcore till 1.8 also prime will fail..
if u guys oc and drop back the clock for normal use then it is ok...
if u guys wanna use oc and use the clock... prime is the best tool to test it...

anyway .. instead of speedfan
use this
http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php
the best latest hardware monitor and showing the right vcore for uguru .. and abit =)

Thanx for the info bro. notworthy.gif
In the mean time ill just use air cooling 1st,maybe later gonna get the WC for proc and ram.

Maybe im not gonna do above 3.5Ghz due to so many limitations like cant run prime 12 hours or 24 hours.

more that 3405 all surely prime fail...after few minutes cpu limit is reached...
3385mhz stable 24 hours...
3405mhz... stable 13 hours before... then fail... i drop my hytransport to prime it again....
normal use with this clock consider stable liao... (3405mhz)

this is the result i found after testing it for week =X

Well, for me,im satisfied with 3.41Ghz cuz its lot more better than old F2 that only can get 2.6Ghz sweat.gif
Just stick to it bro. thumbup.gif
3405 Is more that enough d to work 24/7 and 365 days non stop. biggrin.gif

One thing im not really satisfied, its about the voltage (vcore). My vcore will go down if run orthos, but when i stop running orthos or superPI or other stability test,it will increase back.

Let say my vcore is 1.5v,when i run orthos,it will go down till 1.46 to 1.47. sweat.gif
Is this thing normal?

not normal for me... no prime vcore is the vcore i set in bios ...
start prime... vcore increase and not drop....
are u using hwmonitor i recommend?
i never vdrop before... maybe that happen to u...

if wanna use 24 hours x 365 ... i prefer use the cpu that really prime 24 hours stable...

i cannot afford dataloss or some bad folder created by microsoft...
happen before... not enough vcore or not stable system.. cause sp2 extraction making a bad folder in hdd and u can't even del it...
i doing a lot unattended stuff for winxp and keep making those extraction...
slipstreaming... so on... packing software... with higher overclock i can manage make the 7zip compression more smaller... so on =)
so i will stuck at 3385 if it prime 24 hours stable again....
