Yesterday was Friday, I did update them again yet no one replied.
My opinion:
By my view, I should just move on but all I hope its a respond for a final verdict before applying to another job.
As long there's no offer letter, any santa claus can claim as santa Claus.
As in the bolded part you stated, the previous manager was reluctant to hire you under his team. He threw you back to HR and ask them to reassign you to another dept.How did it happen?

Very common thing now in Malaysian unprofessional hiring ethics. No fixed and common decision. It already hinted to you that the company you applied to has a messy management so take caution before deciding to join them.
