LZJ put more effort to battle with NTY compared to Antonsen. I heard he trains with Antonsen, more familiar with Antonsen's style compared to NTY.

On podium,  I could see both LZJ and NTY almost cried. One was happy because he finally won a title. The other one was sad as he played consistently well throughout the week but couldn't perform on the final day due to lack of stamina.

Nevertheless, I'm proud of them both. It wasn't the highest level of competition though. But look how China's WS finalists fought for the title. 🫡
*
Lots of LJZ's power smashes targeted at NTY's hip area.
NTY didn't know how to defend those smashes.
He had the look of defeat on his face when LJZ's smashes are going through his defense like it was full of holes.

Zii Jia has turned down offer to join Road to Gold programme

PETALING JAYA: Professional men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia will not be part of the Road to Gold programme.

In a statement released on Tuesday (Nov 14), the RTG secretariat said they had met online with Team LZJ on Tuesday and it was concluded that Zii Jia will not proceed with the RTG programme.

Zii Jia is the first athlete to turn down an offer to join RTG at a time when many others are trying to get in.

Those under the RTG enjoy great benefits, including monthly allowances, sport science support and use of facilities.
