Greetings all.

Would just like to ask opinions/suggestions for a good laptop that will be mainly used for work with some gaming every now and then.

First things first, budget is around RM6k. Can go higher but hard capped at RM6.5k.

Im using this for graphic designing work. So one with a i7/Ryzen 7 should be sufficient. And because I do a bit of video editing and animation, I think dedicated GPU is a must. And because of the amount of travelling I do, I need something a bit light and preferably with a large battery life.

I was looking at a few options:
1) Vivobook Pro 16X OLED
2) Vivobook Pro 15 OLED
3) Stealth 15M B12UE 033
4) Zephyrus G14 GA402 2023
5) Illegear Arte 14

Anyone have any experience with these laptops or have any other recommendation?

Yes, I was looking at the Lenovo LOQ. But my only concern is Lenovo has a lot of bloatware. Last time Ive used Lenovo and bloatware took up at least 20-30% of the HDD space. It was horrible. Hows the experience with Lenovo so far tho?

only played with it a bit... don't remember much about bloatware... most can be deleted anyways... and 1tb storage you don't feel it...

only issue is weight n battery life... all that unthrottled power comes with a price... the 300w power brick is also something... lol...

AFAIK Lenovo gaming laptops don't have much bloatware, if at all. I have one, I also know two people that bought also. Zero bloatware. The only software it comes with is Lenovo Vantage, which is actually useful IMO and can be uninstalled freely.

Honestly not a big fan of the numpad. But the LOQ is on my list. It's the only one with an i7 that fits my budget. Here's what I have so far:

I see. Okays well the LOQ is on my list. Right now priority is more to portability and power if possible. Legion series quite heavy at 2.5kgs and battery life is pretty okay.

Unfortunately for light with great battery life & power at the same time for video editing, I haven't found any that matches Apple's MacBook Pro.
Unlike all other Windows laptops that throttles performance when on battery, MacBooks maintain their full performance while on battery and still last for hours compared to Windows laptop.

I think most editing applications now runs on MacOS?

Unfortunately the Macbook Pro was a bit out of budget. I was torn between the Vivobook Pro 16X or the Zephyrus G14 GA402. Both were within budget and ended up getting the Zephyrus G14 due to the slightly better GPU and sizing. Managed to get a good price for it. Thanks for the reco!
