to use truecaller you need to allow them to save your contacts in their server

Actually it's not whether you install the app or not. Even if you are not using it and let's say you are a doctor that's doing hanky panky with your patient and most of your patient saved as your no as "pervert doctor". New users of the app will see your name as doc pervert...
