Wish to keep it because it has many contacts.


Can we buy a prepaid number (from other telco) and create our own number?
Wish to create the old number.
Since Whatsapp requires OTP to activate it.

1. walk into digi/celcom, they can reregister the number if recently terminated
2. you can choose your own number on yoodo
3. you can choose your own number on digi kiosk

if old number terminate not long. can walk in center to retrive back..be quick... but must get postpaid.

nope, the only way to get back your old number is to walk into digi/celcom

back in year 2000 .an expired/terminated prepaid service, the number die2 cannot used anymore even only 24 hours expired/terminate the service. Thank you maxis...all my contacts in SIM gone and burned RM238.

Go back to DiGi and try to appeal if the termination is not long ago.

If not, considered gone with the wind.

Don understand why ppk keep on no relaoad at least one time per 2 month

Forget to reload then just pay RM 38 for Digi SLL or Hotlink RM30 for one year.....

No u cant "create" number.

As mentioned earlier fastest way is to go back to the same telco ask to subscribe as Postpaid, wait for min period cooldown before u can convert to Prepaid (or Port-out).

Also as mentioned earlier, ur whatsapp still functioning (existing phone) as long u dont logout u still can use via Wifi.

Not sure what happen but the SIM kaput cannot open contacts after no service. Maxis only can say just purchase new one with new number. old number is totally cannot use anymore. I turn green also no use that time.

No way hosey they got such "appeal" feature. Been there done that.
Even reloaded credit all forfeited

Very strange number terminated should not affect stored contacts.

Otherwise needs to whatsapp ALL of my contacts to inform that I am using a new number

Never ever clear cache/data.
It will log you out of whatsapp.
I was so dumb

From Digi FAQs, no chance to get it back after 25 days of termination. Apparently, only Digi has this reactivation info explicitly stated on their FAQs.

Or I could ask WhatsApp to retrieve my old WhatsApp account.
Prior to the termination, I was using WhatsApp registered with m old phone number.
But the SIM on my phone is a new number.

As long as not logged out/cleared data/uninstall, you can change the number on the same WhatsApp account should digi confirmed to you that the old number is impossible to reinstated

Your priority NOW is try to get your old number Reinstated as soon as possible

Only when digi tells you it's too late then you try to recover WhatsApp account
