Sorry I am too high end. All my USB A is at my monitor

And I use Bluetooth keyboard and mouse

No dongle

Gamers do, bluetooth latency is too high. You'll need to use a proprietary wireless protocol like logitech lightspeed to achieve good input latency. That requires you to use their dongle, which takes up a USB slot. Unfortunately lightspeed dongles are still USB-A if I'm not mistaken.

Ya but nowadays with USC Monitor, can just put all your dongle at your monitor

I rather have more USB C at my PC than USB A.

A lot of laptops have Type C already. The low to mid range laptops would have at least 1 Type C and 1-2 Type A. High end laptops would have 1 to 2 Type C. Especially the slim ones.

At the moment only branded desktop Pc comes with type C. Most of the DIY ones does not have it unless you buy the case that has it. Only expensive motherboards has type C on the back IO. Cheap boards does not have it.

More pricy motherboard normally has usb-c port built-in. USB-C is more versatile since not only it has faster speed, it can also power and support display easily.

I am actually interested to know, if I want to connect my portable monitor with a USB-C connector, using the USB-A port from a Windows 10 desktop, what kind of adaptor and/or software driver I need to use?

Portable monitor has 2 USB-C ports, I can connect one of them to power it using a charger, so power is not an issue. All I need is to output display signal from the desktop. The USB-C port has been verified to work since I can get display from a notebook with a USB-C port.

The desktop PC is running Windows 10, but has no USB-C port. It has many USB3.x ports so there should be enough speed to power FHD display. I has tried connect a USB cable with USB-A on one end and USB-C on the other end, but that does not transmit any display signal.

I wonder if any adaptor or software driver can solve this issue.
