Why the Cricket sport not famous in Malaysia unlike India?

more complicated than football, for a group sport.

During my schooling day criket and aladdin is a must have.

too much eq needed to play such a simple sport.

When i was young used to play Rounders . Dont know what variation that was

What I meant is not Cricket Lighter but Cricket (Sport)

Because watching grass grow is more eventful than cricket.

cricket only played by rich and knowledgable countries like Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, South Africa, Zimbabwe & West Indies, not 3rd world countries

because not exposed to it early. if u introduce it to the kids, surely it will become popular. u go kinrara, ukm, u can see matches played every week.

Got interested when Lagaan revolves around cricket but that's about it

back in the 90's the was a government initiative to setup baseball as a sport in Malaysia.

i was in highschool then, and this program is not under school. it was direct under kementerian.

when i joined, there were already an earlier batch of kids who already went to Japan to study the sport.

the most challenging part is to be the pitcher. not everyone can be the pitcher.
everybody can throw balls, but not everyone can throw like a pitcher.
that time i was also playing softball for school.

then one fine day, the programme was scrapped, and it was replaced with lawn bowl. hahahaha.

test cricket take too long and very slow pace

limited over cricket like one day(50 overs) and 20/20 is much better to watch, finish in one day and fast pace
