That day went JPJ Petaling Jaya on Monday to perform change car ownership.

- Reached JPJ around 7am to scan the QR code ambil nombor.
- Lepak around JPJ car park and then Taman Jaya LRT station since JPJ open at 8AM.
- Realized that no shop nearby open for breakfast.
- 8AM JPJ buka, sit inside for around 30 mins tunggu giliran.
- Whole process done in less than 5 mins with both buyer and seller present for the ownership transfer, buyer get new road tax and car geran on the spot.

JPJ now really fast and efficient. Kudos!

Need to book session ahead of time like pkp time or can just walk in and take number?

I tot usually puspakom check the one take long time wan?

Need to use JPJeQ app to scan the QR code in the JPJ physical place to take nombor giliran.

Puspakom ≠ JPJ

I just walk in, but still need to use app to take number.

- Download JPJeQ app first.
- Reach the JPJ branch.
- Use the JPJeQ app to scan the QR code near the entrance to take number.

My point is, jpj dont take a long time, as long as u come early

The one hassle is puspakom when transfer grant

cheras branch is even faster

but if both side have mysikap...just use the system

Last time i take picture if the qr code first then the next week i want to go jpj before leaving home scan qr code take queue number first lol

My case the puspakom part didn't took very long.
My turn was 3rd or 4th in puspakom that time.
Whole process done with report in around an hour.

This way works too if you have to visit JPJ often.

Use mysikap only, no need to go jpj

The Jpj process normally very fast one… only the queue that takes time. Unlike the freaking passport renewal.

I am also aware that this process can be done online.
But I prefer to get it done in person.

So after done ownership transfer in mySIKAP, how the buyer get new car road tax and also car grant?

Need to send the qr code pic to other phone and scan from there as jpj app dont allow u to read qr code that is saved in gallery, only can launch camera .

On that day, 6am I open JPJeQ app, already got people took queue number already.

I am not really familiar with the place as it was the first time I went there, so I don't really know where is the self kiosk.

U try utc a lot faster

I did checked, some branches and UTC do not offer car ownership transfer. So have to see properly which one has which service offered.

nowadays jpj & utc counters really quite fast and efficient

just that puspakom is still messy as usual, book appointment on 5pm, reach there 430pm, still have to queue until 6pm only can masuk due to overload lol

If the buyer also use mysikap, he then can go to jpj kiosk print VOC.

Last time I bought a car, after transfer in mysikap, kept the car at my house. A month later only renew insuran and roadtax.

car grant u can get it from any JPJ or UTC that's the least crowded

roadtax insurance all online...not even require, the person on the counter won't even question it
