To be honest, i was slightly disappointed when they say this is a God-of-War'ish game because it looks downright boring. Now that they show the latest build of the game and it's actually a Diablo "clone", i am super hype for it now!!!

>>>> Hi-Def Version <<<<

Features promised by developers.
-Diablo with more complext fighting system?
-In-depth customization?
-4-players coop?

If the developer can deliver all of that & the early preview is of any indication, then say good bye to your social life as we have a winner here, a highly addictive RPG slash Action game! So far from all the preview last week (1up, gamespot, IGN), things are looking good for the game except for some framerates problem.

It's RPG/Hack&Slash , a.k.a Diablo/Titan Quest/Loki , according to PJ . Never checked on this game lately , but for once I thought it's more of DMC-ish . Don't know why the RPG elements kicked in now .
*
That's what i thought as well, even the developer themselves said so laugh.gif Last week most of the reputable game journalist visit SK studio and they thought the game feel very much like Diablo/World of Warcraft.

1st KuF:COD, then this...... diablo era will rise once again laugh.gif

I only enjoy Diablo but not other clone after that. The console baldurs gate, champion of something something (forgot) etc all seems to straight forward especially the skill tree & level. Too bad Kuf : COD has no storyline and seems like n3 with coop only. sad.gif

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Feb 20 2008, 01:49 PM)
well y not DMC then... haha... or N3... slash slash slash...

DMC/Ninja Gaiden hack & slash different type of genre ler. Too Human is trying to blend abit of those action with Diablo-style RPG game.

I really want this game to be good. Here's Kotaku Hands-On Too Human.
QUOTE
However, with a quintet of character classes, a deep skill tree and a World of Warcraft-style loot system-you'll pick up equipment with names like Sacred Tactical Visor of Opportunity and Harrowing Lance of Wrath, some socketable with runes a la Diablo II-there should be plenty of replay value in Too Human, at least for those who don't quibble as much as we do. Add to that a four-player co-op option (that we sadly didn't get to try out) and a crafting system, and we suspect that the game will resonate for a long time with gamers.

Others, however, may find that other games have done what Too Human is attempting to do before (and better) and may just want to wait for the novelization. Or at least until the trilogy is finally complete to enjoy the ride in one epic slog.

4 players coop, where are you.

His hammer. How big?

Ken McCulloch: Oh, it's big - but size isn't everything. Thor's hammer, "Mjolnir", satisfies through the application of highly explosive, armor-penetrating shaped charge warheads, so that Thor's might can be felt exactly where it is needed.

Norse mythology wha..? It's halo!! Watch the new video by teamxbox.. There is actually a human talking head (not skull like Baldurs Gate), but when i watch the video & listen to the voice...it sound very much like the Halo guilty spark, annoying as ever! laugh.gif

Ya, the animation is pretty clunky but here's hoping its diablo'ish rpg element is good enough.

G4 World Premiere:
Too Human Combat

Too Human: Weapons

Too Human: Enemies

Must see yo, there is also explanation on the 5 different class.

Apparently the game doesn't live up to its promised.

Early preview
QUOTE
Now, those who have enjoyed their time in the world of Too Human up through the story's conclusion will have plenty to do if they want to keep building Baldur. By the time you finish the campaign, Baldur will likely only be at level 25 of what I believe is a maximum of 50. He'll have some decent armor and weapons, but there will be lots more out there. You can begin a new campaign with the same character you finished it with, and the enemies will scale up accordingly so the challenge can continue. You can even jump into alternate versions of each level with more and different enemies and drops.

You could also, of course, pick a different character class for even more replay value. And there's the two-player online cooperative mode, which I haven't tried because there is only one of me.

But for that sort of player who enjoys playing through a game once to see the story and get the experience, Too Human will end long before its time and with not nearly enough payoff for all the story exposition. And it's an uneven ten hours, at best: Sometimes I had a great time mowing down enemies and racking up combos, but sometimes it just felt frustrating and/or repetitive.

Too Human will be available August 29. I expect that it will garner a very wide range of review scores.

Kotaku doesn't sound like they dig the game much either.

Neogaf forum is having fun with the negative aspect of the game laugh.gif (Denis Dyack openly shoot neogaf in an interview before)

The game could either bomb or probably be average. I will wait for the full review before purchasing this...but so far it's pointing towards a rent. With the announcement of Diablo 3...Too Human just feel Too...Meh.

Control isn't as intuitive as I thought. There are numerous time i try to change the camera view but end up slashing my weapon.
Hud & interface is terrible...look sub par.
The cutscene is pretty long & boring...badly done too.
Ingame graphic is quite ok, sometimes the environment is really rich & beautiful...but then sometimes it just, meh.

It's.....average i guess? Don't think I will pay full price for the game >:(
dx_treme tried the demo too and he got stuck somewhere. laugh.gif

Yeap, I played the demo a couple of times. Can't say I loved it, but I definitely like it more than GTA IV (I know I'm weird). Controls were odd but were responsive, graphics ok la considering there are no load times if you don't skip cutscenes, and also,
the whole Cybernatic-Norse thing is very intriguing to me.
I'll just give it a try, paling teruk pun rugi 160 ringgit  tongue.gif .

Ya...it's far from too suck, it's just average at best considering the hype. I am still on the fence whether to get or not...the game is selling cheaper than usual retail price and free 1000 Microsoft point somemore. hmm.gif Coop...coop...coop.

The coop mode has no cutscene...which is good in Too Human case since the cutscene is really bad laugh.gif

Are you serious bout the free MS points? That's really generous of them. Does it apply for Asian releases as well?

Cutscenes remind me of DMC series. Cheesy dialogue. Which automatically makes Baldur a bad-ass for geeks. Lol.

Sorry, It's HMV Uk deal but the game only release end of August over here. tongue.gif

If only Dennis know when to shut up, this game wouldn't even receive such a bad press.

The loot seems interesting enough!
