This is a sort of continuation of this thread and not sure if this is the right forum:

The recent update is that I will be making the initial deposit of RM10K to the will company. I had asked if they could provide a receipt once I made the payment and they said once I have injected the initial deposit, to forward them the payment slip for their further action and they will provide the statement of account showing the injection of initial deposit (that's their version of receipt). They also gave me the account name which is <WILL COMPANY HERE NAME> - Estate of <my late dad's name>, account number, bank.
For those who have gone through this process before, is this normal that receipts are not given other than just evidence through statement of account for such deposits? Or are there other alternative ways I could request for an official receipt? 10K is a lot, not RM 100 or 1000 so I'm playing a bit cautious here but wanted to know is this typical of most will/estate companies to only give "receipts" in the way of statement of account rather than any kind of official receipt?
Appreciate your thoughts/advice. Thanks!
P/S: If this is not the right sub-forum do let me know which is a suitable one - as i couldnt locate one so I choose this one instead. thanks!
