no point getting those imported set due to warranty issue , however incase anything you can send it for repair locally ( at some of gameshop / 3rd party technician that provide repair for PS5 console / controller ) .. but it's up to the buyers , if they fine with it , go for it

Imagine PS5 Malaysia set got 1 year + 90 days warranty , you can even extend your warranty ( 1 year additional ) , total would be 2 years + 90 days , fully covered by Sony Malaysia

Imagine PS5 Imported set , lets say Japan set .. Some seller didn't even dare enough to give warranty and Some seller might say supplier warranty .. For supplier warranty i've got no idea how it works .. Either they will help you to send the unit to Sony Japan with some minimal charges ( * might take a long time for this matter ) or they will try to fix it by their own in house technician .. It's quite a hassle in the future

In the end , it's your money and you choose

actually it's applied to all imported devices .. no matter gaming consoles , phones etc. , local technical support by manufacturer is the most important thing ( one of the reason why should go for official set ) .. how ever getting an imported set not a bad thing , there is plenty of places providing a service & repair for it ( of course it's a 3rd party and not from the manufacturer ) .. the difference would be the warranty issue between official set and imported set , other then that it's the same , your money and just enjoy it
