Big vehicle got gaya shitload of safety system. Thing is its same.territory as civic. Multiple category who buy this car .
1)will take 9 year loan maximum gaya unggul kemutuan wadeva

2) People who can afford cash or 5 year loan want value for money undoubtedly it is good value. Reliability and etc lain citer.

But at that price people with a more prudent financial planning will gor for CRV or Civic cz better resale and reliability as well.as badge status.

Based on read thru, this is more expansive than X70. But NVH, tyre sound more louder here. Engine cover also lose out. 2023, other China Manufacturers also come here as CKD, no issues to put AA and ACP, even cw wireless.

Doubt they will get great sales for x90.

This china pomen said BSG don't worth the cost saving from fuel. Which means maintaining BSG will cost more than the fuel cost save. We go cheap fuel, can't justify why buy a half ass hybrid. hmm.gif hmm.gif

they need 300nm for moving this huge s car. why not they just use the 1.8T without BSG. die2 need to extend the use of 1.5T engine. in the end they still sell the 1.8T engine for X70 Premium with sunroof.

Again.. CR-V is not 7-seater.. X90 will only appeal to 7-seater buyers and we compare with 7 seater in the market.
CR-V is comparable to X70, not X90

just saw one with A plate and dark blue (almost black)
driving from Phileo then onto Mont Kiara / Hartamas main road.

give it more time. CR-V won't be king of SUVs forever whatmore with 7 seater option.
I know some will hate Proton but still take a look at the number of x70s

Bangkok already launched 6th gen crv, 1.5T, 2.0H with 5/7 seater option. Guess crv also gonna slice into the 7 seaters’s market albeit the last 2 seats aren’t really for adults. The only big difference is the pricing and brand. Malaysia likely will follow suit with the launch.

7 seater won't be the same price as 5 seater and not to mention the CRV 3rd row is not gonna be as comfortable as X90 because CRV is a segment lower and smaller size.

There u go, more of a reason ppl may lean towards x90 rather than crv for those hunting for 7 seater suv. More value for dollar spent.

Indonesia already has the current CRV 7 seater, and my bro in law has one.
Its just a baby seat (or Plus 2 seat).

Whereas , the X90, if one take the time to really compare the dimensions,

Its in the same league as Toyota Fortuner. Lets just compare the dimensions

Spec Toyota Fortuner Proton X90 Honda CRV
Lenght 4,795 4830 4623
Width 1,855 1900 1855
Height 1835 1764 1679
Wheelbase 2745 2805 2660

and just for additional comparison, here is Exora vs CRV .

Spec Honda CRV Proton Exora
Lenght 4,623 4,615
Width 1,855 1,809
Height 1794 1691
Wheelbase 2660 2730

The CRV looks broader and a tad longer (by 8mm) than the Exora from the outlook, but its the inside, the Exora wheelbase is 70mm longer than CRV.
People should stop taking price comparisons as the benchmark. Just like they say Alza (old version) is same price as Exora and claimed Alza is a better value, when its not the same dimensions. (Let's not start a Alza war)

300nm combined torque for a kerb weight of 1750kg, is not That bad Bro.
you cant just based from the outside size.

how about those Alphard / Vellfire with at least 2000kg kerb weight and using the 2.5L NA engine with only 250nm of torque to haul All its heavy ass.
Or the notorious Innova with truck chassis that weighs 1700kg yet have an underpowered 2.0 engine and 6 speed auto box.
I've driven the Alphard and its meant to be driven slowly, not meant to sprint at red lights.

For the price and if needed 3 row seat, i rather take Chery Tiggo 8. Interior is basically with Merz part, maybe copycat. Engine 2.0T with DCT. 250hp 390nm is almost similar to C300. Price a steal cz Kulim made.

The video is very enticing and its screaming "Take my money", however after the recent fire cases, everything now hinges on what Proton intends to do next with the recall, that will determine if its a success or a failure.

Is it even actually a recall in the first place ? A friend of mine who owns a X90, is struggling to get his X90 in the SC ASAP for the recall. The voice messages from Proton salesman, shared by my friend, does not sound convincing at all like he knows what must be done.

Finally if the sales figures of X90 todate is not impressive judging that I have not seen another X90 on the road yet, I wonder if the management is going to cut their losses or salvage whatever is left of the X90. The ball is definately in Proton's court at the moment.

it seems from some pictures it's due to additional sound proofing material that proton added that is not found in the PRC version

probably the wires are not suppose to be touching the sound proofing materials

Even b4 this accident, they dont sell well like x50, x70 time. Stock was readily available. Last time all queue up for getting x50, x70.

Plus this accident, unless there is some major part change for the wiring, then only confident is flowing. But doubt Proton will do it cz everything need Geely approval
